NPP Projection Close 2/13

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: No music played during the breakdown slide in the Slumber Party Massacre show playlist (the song was supposed to be "Girls on Film" by Duran Duran)...I recall downloading the mp3 file and, according to Desmond, it was part of the tech so I have no idea what happened in the interim to allow it to not play over its designated slide...I tried switching audio channels from Digital 1 and back to see if it would have any effect on playback and using Spotify off the rack PC but nothing worked (it should be noted there is no alternate show playlist on the server or the LMS so, again, I'm not exactly sure how this could have happened)

Special Events/ AV set up: Slumber Party Massacre screening in 2 was loaded and played manually since the rehearsal went over time and conflicted with the start of the scheduled playlist...that aside everything went just fine with all light cues and tracks for the performances being triggered normally and where appropriate (save for the technical issue with the song that was meant to play during the breakdown...I double checked the show playlist after the screening to be certain there wasn't anything I missed during the initial playback but there was simply no audio paired with the breakdown slide)

Speakers/stands/mixer/receiver kit were all disconnected and placed back in storage behind the curtain in theater 2 + the mics were brought up to the booth to charge

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
