Projection Admin 2/13



To do this evening/ was completed: FYI - I'm keeping the DCP of Porcelain War on the LMS, just not on the T4 server. We will most likely be showing this again on 2/27, so we'll just need new keys. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Adjusted the Paddington playlist so that it's a little louder. Captain American, Companion, and the Oscar Shorts playlists are all set. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: I noticed in the playlist for Slumber Party Massacre that there were no blocks of black for the intros in between the performances, so those have been added. The external speakers, Yamaha mixer and wireless mic receiver are all setup in Theatre 2 for this evening's performance and feature. Everything has been tested, just turn everything on beforehand. I adjust the levels on the speakers a bit. Remember to hit the switch for spots/wash at least a few minutes before you need to use them (I find it takes a second for everything to warm up a bit in there). Lighting and other info is in the ROS/event memo as per usual. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Downloaded and ingested The Monkey 5min preshow. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Phantom of the Opera, Pieces content and playlists deleted. 

Print/video Inspection: Techd new first runs. 

Note: Tomorrow there is a screener for Misericordia. Content has been transferred to T3 and the keys came in. Open window is correct and we're all set for tomorrow. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Received our new Swiffer pads. There's a box in T1 booth and 4/6. 

Everyone gets a new master key! Please take one of the new copies on the desk in 4/6 (labeled) and leave me your old key (also labeled on the desk next to the rack). Thank you! 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. 

Marquee updated?: Added Captain America 4 to the marquee. Added the poster, too. Took Presence down, keeping Nosferatu up (still have screenings of this). Presence is still on the LMS. 

Posters updated?: Added Snow White to the lobby on the right (stage left). We received a lot of posters today. Smurfs, Warfare, My Dead Friend Zoe, and more. Some of these are stored in the bins and some of them are in their boxes, labeled in large font.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
