Projection Close 2/15



To do this evening/ was completed: Just following up here to mention that I replied to Alec's previous blog with a note that I did have an inspection report of Mo Better Blues, but only I could see it! Whoops! Report has shared. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked our playlists for this week and then took a look at the week of 2/21. Built the playlists: Sugarcane, Manchurian Candidate, Soundtrack to a Coup D'etat and Porcelain War, Mildred Pierce. They all need volume/image techs. 

Virtuosity and Mississippi Masala need their slides. 

The rest of the SE shows that don't have playlists still need their feature content. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Put the set of ADA seats back in T2 once the round was over. 

Listening device brought back to its charging station. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): No new content. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Look twice to see if I could find what might've caused the 2 reel of Mo Better Blues to throw Alec out of frame this morning, but annoyingly, I didn't see or feel anything out of the ordinary. I'm chalking it up to a rogue piece or dirt/debris, or some projector (maybe intermittent?) hiccup. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Doc updated and added info for Full Metal Jacket

Maintenance/cleaning: Swept and mopped 4/6. I'll vacuum the steps on Monday. 

Just under a week left until we gotta change the lamp in T5. ~144 hours 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
