NPP Projection Admin 3/7



To do this evening/ was completed: Almost all preshow content downloaded and ingested with the exception of the Cults_5min preshow element, which should be uploaded to Drive tonight.

Most of the 3/14 A1 playlists have been built. Check trailer list for ones that still need manufacture.

Inspected the last three reels of Gladiator. They're in excellent condition.

New 35mm letters up on the marquee.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd the entirety of the Opening Nite program with Desmond, John, Cristina and Kat. All shorts look and sound great. The tech spreadsheet has been updated. - L

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: SuperhumanBody keys ingested - L

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Novocaine, Iron Giant. 
Ingested another program for NSF25 (NoBudge) via the share drive just to keep us on schedule, first three shorts of Closing Nite are also ingesting. More preshow bits ingested - L


Outgoing/Shipping (content): Went through the servers and deleted a lot of content to clear space for our new first runs. - L

Print/video Inspection: Pariah and Gladiator have been techd and rewound. Definitely run loops for Gladiator tomorrow, but particularly for P1. The lenses are set. Double check black tape on P1 port glass. Will likely need to be adjusted. - L 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Vacuumed under the curtain in T1 - L

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Added to the Thursday cue sheet. Added formulas for Novocaine, Black Bag, Opus - L

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
