Projection Admin 3/4



To do this evening/ was completed: Rare Tuesday for me, also a rare solo day, so, definitely missed seeing everyone! Busy day, though. 

Cristina, Desmond, Kat, John and I watched the entirety of the Matinee Two program for NSF 25. All films have their aspect ratio and volume info listed in the tech spreadsheet. I made tech playlists for both Matinee Two and Opening Nite, the latter of which we will watch this Friday as I found this morning that two DCPs were corrupt (mind you, the files were ready by the time we finished, but it takes so long to look at everything that we only had time for one program). I downloaded them to the same drive Kat gave us (the one that has all the DCPs on it) and ingested everything just fine. I am certain they just didn't finish fully downloading to that drive the first time. I haven't taken a look yet, but both DCPs look correct in the LMS and IMS.

Special Events/ AV set up: Tested the playlist for Drop Dead Fred. Brought the volume up considerably. Tested the mic for the intro tonight. Mixer is already on and the spots remote (has also been tested) is in its little box in the corner as per usual. Please, of course, double check the playlist before the show just to be sure.  

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Our outbound prints from yesterday got picked up and we received Pariah today, which I brought up to T4. FedEx came round again, but we have nothing prepped for pickup yet. The only outbound print is Demons 2, which will need to be reinspected and packaged up. 

Received the DCP of Black Bag. Ingested to the LMS.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
