Projection Admin 4/14



To do this evening/ was completed: Forgot to post my blog last night, but no issues. Relatively quiet night on my end. AC units are all fine on the ground floor. Also, the print of Good Night and Good Luck has been all sorted. Ready to be put on house reels when the time comes. Additionally, photographs have been uploaded to the drive for both the aforementioned print as well as Dance, Girl, Dance.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Just a friendly reminder to make our SE slides about 20 seconds long. Allows us to add a nice fade in/out, looks nicer on screen, more well paced (gives the other cues more space). Thanks! Here's an example using the Babe slide. It's 20 seconds long (reaches maximum brightness at 8 (maybe between 8 - 10) seconds in, so I like to put the server pause cue there. Fade ins/outs are added in at 5 seconds on each end. See images below. Make sure you click "set" on each









Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Tonight we have the Special Event for Sunset Boulevard in theatre 2. I double checked the trailer, slide and feature today, making a few small adjustments. The four chairs for the pre-screening Q&A are off to the left side of the curtain so that they're not obstructing the top of the stairs when folks walk up. I put yellow tape down on the stage to mark the placement for the chairs (I tested this with the spots to make sure they look nice and even). For centre spots, use 502. Made a slight adjustment and brought them down a hair so that you can still see a good amount of info on the slide. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received our assets for the NewFest Screening this Thursday of The Wedding Banquet. I DCP'd the Sizzle, Land Acknowledgement, PS/intro slide and Q&A slide. Note: the prores we received of the Land Acknowledgement is 10 seconds long, which does not feel like enough time, IMO...also, just to be clear - in the ROS master doc for assets and other such info, you'll notice that the slide for the Q&A is exactly the same as the Exit or House Clear slide, so I only made one. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Both prints were picked up today (God of Gamblers Return and KOC)

Print/video Inspection: Took a look at Fright Night just to double check everything is good for tonight. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Received tracking for The Abominable Dr. Phibes and Barbershop

Maintenance/cleaning: Our little alcohol dispensers have been filled and there's on in T4 and two in T1. 

I printed out more print info sheets, although the text is noticeably smaller than our normal print info sheets...not sure what I did there. They're still usable! 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated the sheets to reflect accurate info for Fright Night and added 'OCAP' to the first round in T6. 

Marquee updated?: Yes! Added our new brunch titles: Children of Men and Babe (on 35mm)
