NPP Projection Admin 5/1 (Alec & Will)

To do this evening/ was completed: Please make the minimum effort of coiling the mic cables after events. The mic in T3 from In the Loop last night was just placed on top of the speaker with the cable falling on the floor, peeking out from under the curtain. This is a great way to make sure these cables get tangled together over time and create lots of unnecessary frustration for people trying to use them in the future. -A

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Converted the intro slide for Dance, Girl, Dance to DCP and uploaded it to the LMS + built the pre-show for this screening and transferred it to theater 4 -WB

I switched the R rated 4/25 A1 playlists for the 5/2 playlists so we're not showing the Thunderbolts trailer, which opens today. -A

Built and scheduled the playlist for the Sinners private event next week. -A

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up and tested all gear for STB in theater 1 this morning. -WB

I noticed the Having Fun With A-Holes DCP had an odd container/ratio combination. Scope container and 1.90 ratio. I looked at it and made a lens file and masking preset for it in T1 and made cues for both. I made a tentative playlist for this with just the cues to switch channel and masking and the feature with volume and credit offset cues. I'm not sure what the rest of this playlist is going to look like, we are likely going to add extra preshow since the feature is so short. -A

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Eraserhead print was delivered and brought up to booth 1 -WB

I ripped the Tremors blu-ray and made the project for the DCP. I opened it on the T1 iMac, so when I Killed My Mother is done it'll check the content and you can start the conversion right away. I already analyzed/adjusted the audio level. If the image appears strange (pillarboxed or windowboxed), in the Video tab under Scale select "custom" and enter 1.85 for the ratio. It should look fine after that. I set the cropping to get rid of the letterboxing from the 1.78 container the blu-ray rip has, so that should be fine. If for whatever reason it's not, it was 18 for both top and bottom. -A

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Deleted all outdated features. -A

Print/video Inspection: Tech'd the Thunderbolts show playlist this morning and placed Dance, Girl, Dance on house reels in booth 4 -WB

Bega inspecting Eraserhead in booth 1 and uploaded some stills to the shared drive -WB

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: You may or may not have noticed, but I'm putting a new XLR input for Mic 2 in Trees. This was the one that had the cable stuck in it for a long while now, so that's gone. I used wire glue to connect the wires, had to add a tiny bit more this morning so that's drying overnight. I'll pop in tomorrow morning just to finish it up (I'm off). -A

Upgraded the software for all the IMS3 units (T3, 6, and 7). -A

I'm transferring the VHS Vault content over to the Nic W. Refn hard drive, this will eventually become the new source for the Plex server. Content is still transferring, so Plex is still playing off the VHS Vault drive so leave it plugged in. NWR just has more space and we can't seem to ingest to Screenwriter or the IMS2s from it. Will see if VHS Vault can be repurposed for DCPs. -A

Put a little basket on the wall in T2 booth to hold remotes. Blu-ray, webcam, and HDMI switcher remotes are in there. Same will be put up in T1 booth soon. -A

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): The wrong 5/7 private event was on the cue sheet for that day. It had Paris is Burning (which is at WB the same day) instead of Sinners. Also, the schedule for T6 on this day was wrong. I fixed both. -A

Marquee updated?: Removed outgoing first run titles and added letters for Thunderbolts -WB

Posters updated?: Removed all outgoing first run posters, added Bring Her Back and Karate Kid: Legends to the lobby, and placed Mission: Impossible 8, Lilo & Stitch, and Final Destination: Bloodlines outside under "coming soon" snipes

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

Projection cart by entrance?:
