Projection Admin 5/5

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey everyone - the gate broke today, so Vlad has been directing folks outside to come in through the side door where a manager will be waiting to greet them. The maintenance person drove out from Long Island and is working on it. No update yet. - Lil

As for our AC Units, I checked the 3, 7 and 5, 5 being the only AC unit that was on and without airflow. Apparently (and this makes sense, but) if the thermostat reads the room as the correct temperature its been set to, it won't blow, but I've just never seen one of the units paused, so I wanted to double check. Brought the temp down in T5 just a hair, and checked to make sure air flow was steady. - Lil

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Transferred Hairspray, I Killed My Mother, Tremors, News From Home to their respective screening rooms.  Looked at all of these (just not Hairspray as it's encrypted and the others are not) and updated info in the playlists for all. Built the playlist for Tremors. - Lillian 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: So this evening, the Good Night Good Luck show will not have as big a guest crowd as previously thought (blame George Clooney) but there will still be an intro. Also, they sent us the Broadway trailer super late, though I was able to DCP and ingest it. I have it set to 4.0, but you should check this between rounds - you will have enough time! - Lil

For Robocop this evening, Will found that there's a two minute MGM advertisement at the top of the feature. We've put dowser close/mute cues right before plus a bit of black as a buffer so that once it hits the feature, you can quietly tap into the time code two mins in, unmute, open the dowser and then press play. The print of Good Night Good Luck will end before this show starts, so you will have plenty of time. - Lil Thank you, Will for double checking this!

Print/video Inspection: Rewound a few reels of Eraserhead and Petra Von Kant in T1 so everything is now facing heads out -WB

Maintenance/cleaning: When looking at News From Home I noticed that the masking was ever so slightly off, so I adjusted it for 1.37 along with the ILS, which needed a lil bit of a push. It looks lovely! - Lil

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Added a feature volume cue to the pre-show playlist for Postcards from the Edge Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Finished converting all NoBudge45 shorts to DCP Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Fantastic 4 posters were delivered in addition to teaser posters for The Smashing Machine + a box containing two Lilo & Stitch standees was dropped off and can likely be given away at trivia/to whoever wants a life size Stitch in their home and/or eventually thrown away Ordering/Receiving (content): The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant print was delivered and brought up to booth 1 this afternoon + downloaded both slides for this film's pre-show and saved them to the 4/6 desktop File elements for the  Alice Junior DCP are downloading to Jack's webpage and should finish later this evening Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Double checked the grease cue marks on reels 3...
