NPP Projection Report 6/10 Admin
To do this evening/ was completed: Filled out next week's cue sheets.
Looked at X/1999, it looks and sounds good. Lights up cue added to playlist but we'll have to look at it once more tomorrow during admin to add dowser close and open cues right at the beginning to hide the "gingasubs.wordpress.com" credit. This comes on screen about 10 seconds into the feature.
Stay Hungry on house reels.
School screenings went smoothly this morning.
Playlists built for: Matrix Revolutions, Alice Junior, Goonies and Pee Wee.
Vacuumed beneath 3, 5, 7 screens.

Special Events/ AV set up: Sound check for Live Sound Cinema with J.G. Thirlwell was today. The show isn't happening until the end of July, but it's quite a different setup so he came in today to try it out. It went well and he was happy with how it sounded. I'll definitely be running this show. I made some notes on the particulars and saved a preset in the Behringer mixer with the levels and EQ. -A

Maintenance/cleaning: Did a bit more troubleshooting with T1 subwoofers, trying to get the top cabinet to produce noise. I was unsuccessful just attempting things with the amps and their outputs in the booth. Tomorrow I'm going to try swapping the wires in the back of the cabinets. In theory this should make it so the top is making noise while the bottom is silent, so we'd be working with two drivers instead of just one. Ultimately I plan to have another wooden ledge made for under the curtain so the two subwoofers can sit under the curtain side by side. Having them stacked like they are is not only incredibly inconvenient if any maintenance needs to be done, but might even be putting extra stress on the bottom drivers. I'll also figure out why only one of the woofers is making noise, both should be. I also went back through blogs and emails to jog my memory on exactly what was done here last year and we definitely need to replace some of these drivers, at least two maybe more. There are four in Theater 1 and only two were replaced last year, and one of them was with a used one from Theater 2, so only one of the drivers in T1 currently is one we bought new last year. For now, I've asked DMS to order two from JBL for us. For tonight I left things as they have been. -A
