NPP Projection Close 10/7

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up for trivia at Trees Lounge this afternoon

Supernatural intro and screening went smoothly, save for some fussing over the volume during the show as the mono soundtrack was either too low at its QC'd volume or too loud at anything above 10 on the 500 and 750. Lillian was texting about level changes during the show. I adjusted accordingly but the volume dial on the 750 is super finicky and will drop the volume way too low or way too high depending on how much force there is applied to it. I think moving forward we should simply split the difference on volume during techs considering how much these print screenings fill up (this one was part of the Pre-Code Parade series)

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Additional Frankenstein character posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content): Began running the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade MKV file through DCP-o-matic and saved it to the George Ivan drive in booth 1 (this should be finished tomorrow evening)

I was prevented from running My Beautiful Laundrette through MakeMKV since the app is out of date and needs to be registered for again (but I may be forgetting a fix for this as this has happened before) + are there no other available external hard drives besides the George Ivan one? I couldn't find anything other than thumb drives in 4/6...the Preshow&Trailers drive is quite full and the other two externals in this booth are out of commission

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Scheduled a return pickup for Supernatural and brought it downstairs to the side entrance with its return label (tracking ID: 884987413333)

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Cleaned both projectors and shut their exhaust ports after the show + I am fairly certain the exhaust valve/port to projector 2 in booth 1 is not working. The handle itself feels broken, like it isn't actually closing anything, and I could feel the heat coming from inside this machine way more than normal this evening. There is a vent right beside the dowser handle that was blowing out hotter than usual air. For posterity's sake I turned the lamp off between reels and turned it back on before changing over again to save the lamp and myself from the exhaust

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes

Marquee updated?: 35mm side can be updated following the Bones screening tomorrow evening and replaced with future titles

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by entrance?: Yes

Additional Notes: Someone left behind a mess of posters and letters on the 3/7 work bench. I'm not sure if these are being reorganized or what but I had just organized the poster cubby the other day so I'll leave it as is. I've wanted to make a note about housekeeping in general for a while. Finding used glasses and cups and/or silverware lying around is less of an offense here than it is or was at NWB but it's frustrating noticing everything else around the booths, especially where we are all busiest (ie: finding and having to throw away used lens wipes, discovering Q-tips and broken zip ties on the floor and around prints, having to clean the projectors after someone else has run loops or a print from evenings prior) that we should all be taking a moment to take care of ourselves after a task there is completed
