NPP Projection Report 8/30 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Harriet the Spy went well again today. I packed it up to go back to HFC. Since this (and Escape from L.A. ) are Paramount prints, I reached out to HFC for shipping labels for both. Cleaned both projectors after the show. Ran a loop, cleaned the projector, and threaded Odyssey for the first show tonight. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Meant to check this yesterday, but regarding the note about the Gang Related soundtrack: A digital soundtrack on a print can be referring to DTS, SDDS, or Dolby Digital (SR-D). Only when it's SR-D is the analog track guaranteed to be SR (hence the name), otherwise it could be A. In the case of Gang Related , it is indeed SR. For Odyssey : ran a loop, cleaned everything, threaded for the first show of the night. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content):  Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Ordered more canned air Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Marquee updated?: Yes, took The Invite down and put Coyote vs. Acme and The Dog Stars up. Posters updated?: Yes; Invite down, Coyote and Dog Stars changed to now showing. Rearranged coming soons and put Resident Evil up in the lobby. NPP Projection Close 8/28

To do this evening/ was completed: Both Odyssey shows went smoothly. Lightly cleaned projector at end of the night but maybe another once over tomorrow before first show. Built A1 9/4 R-rated playlists with the specified HowTo/Policy for each. Also built a few special events playlists.  Ingested Three Amigos and Merrily We Go to Hell. Not sure why the latter was uploaded via Deluxe, maybe a request miscommunication. Regardless, it's ingested to LMS, just to have a backup. New 35mm letters are up on the marquee. Started Do The Right Thing DCP in T1, won't be done until Sunday looks like. Inspected the first three reels of Gang Related. It's in very nice condition. Projection Admin 8/28

To do this evening/ was completed: Lotta film today.  Threaded up for the first Odyssey show. All set.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Started building out the A1 playlists - PG and PG13 are done. If you continue building these out tonight, please pay close attention to Kat's note about the How To's and Policy clips for each film. Thanks! Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Tech'd Tommy, which sounds good at 5.2. Projection Admin 8/27

To do this evening/ was completed: Tech'd Coyote and Dog Stars. Will be teching special event shows tomorrow morning.  Sent out info for Coyote vs Acme staff screening tomorrow.  Took a chair out in T3 and put it back after first round.  Presentation Issues: None.  Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the rest of the playlist for both CCAP and OCAP Coyote vs Acme playlists. Scheduled shows for this feature on the LMS for the rest of the week.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops for Escape from LA and ran a reel for sound. I checked this in the theatre and it's pretty hot at 7.5, so I rote down 7.0 for both processors. Looks and sounds great! NPP Projection Close 8/27

To do this evening/ was completed: Crash went smoothly. Rewound it for staff screening. Volume sounded good to me. Coyote V. Acme drive arrived, ingested feature to LMS. Downloaded zip file for Litany For Survival DCP to Share drive. Unzipping at the end of the night. Inspected all of the other SoF print, Eternal Evil of Asia. Back on shipping reels for now. Presentation Issues: Guest mentioned to MOD that the left side of the image was touching the curtain in T4 ( Dagger of Kamui). Indeed it was, by about two inches. I did not adjust the lens file during the film. Maybe the projector got bumped recently.  Another guest said the volume was too low in T5 ( End of Oak Street ). I bumped it to 6.0 and it sounded fine to me. Did not update playlists.
