To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Spoons event started on schedule and without issue; broke everything down after the show Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): John Woods texted about the status of the State Your Name drive and if it was ready for pickup. I said it was before realizing its source file was not copied to our drive and was converting from the filmmaker's. For whatever reason, probably the original .mov file being massive, the DCP-o-matic program is currently saying it will take the course of the weekend to finish. NPP Projection Report 7/9 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Just a note on marquee letters - please try to organize them/put them back. I found loads just sitting on top of the bookshelf. It will make everyone's life easier if you clean up as you go. Thank you! - L Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a screener playlist for tomorrow/s viewing of The Wrong Girls, transferred the film to T3 for the programmers. - L Tech'd Palestine 36, adjusted playlist. Tech'd Evil Dead Burn and Maddie's Secret, playlists ready to go. - L Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: More Odyssey (and possibly Camp Miasma ) 35mm prep: we have a working make up table for Theater 4 which I set up today. It's working well and I put a test reel on the platter up here. Ran it through the projector, too. Looking good. Setup the Aja, spots board, mixer and wireless receiver in T1 for Spoons tonight. To do this evening/ was completed: Downloaded all NoBudge shorts to the NoBudge folder, excluding the one short we're still waiting on. Inspected reels 2 - 5 of Love Me Tonight. Good condition. On house reels. Save the Last Dance went smoothly. Print is back on shipping reels except for reel three. That shipping reel is broken. Mic and mixer broken down after the show. Projection Admin 7/8

To do this evening/ was completed: Staff Screenings have been blocked on the calendar, scheduled on the LMS and sent out on 7shifts. - L Had our cinema meeting - we're good on content! We should receive tracking for the Odyssey soon (35mm). - L Setup a closed captioning device in T7, which has been put back.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd Moana in T2. All good. - L Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops for and setup the mixer/mic in T4. Tested everything. Should be a good show tonight! I checked the playlist.  - L Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Hunted down the keys for Jackass, so we're all good for Friday onwards now. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: No further issues with theater 3 this evening Preshow Clips/Playlist: Added volume and credits light cues to the  Maddie's Secret  show playlist; still waiting on pre-show content for The Odyssey Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Brought down merch from 4/6 to the lobby with John Woods + Romeo's Distress screening in theater 1; mixer/mic transmitter have been organized and placed back beneath the curtain *the event staff will be back tomorrow around noon to pick up the merch which has been stored behind 3/7* A very modestly attended trivia got underway at Trees Lounge this evening following the World Cup coverage; placed all gear used back in storage Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Angry Birds 3 ,  Her Private Hell , and  Spa Weekend posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7 this afternoon Ordering/Receiving (content): State Your Name audio is still being analyzed in booth 1 and should ...

NPP Projection Open 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: What I thought was going to be an already busy day got even busier with the little wrench of the Zoom Q+A setup, which I blessedly sorted out so we should be set.  Presentation Issues: When I was starting to schedule automation, I noticed that Theater 3 wasn't accepting anything. I rebooted the server and it was back to normal.  Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made some new slides for the LWAM event at NWB tonight.  Built the start of the Maddie's Secret playlist. Volume and credit cues still needed.  Trailer Updates: No issues Special Events/ AV set up: Tried setting up the Zoom setup for the Q+A for tonight. It took John and I a little bit of finagling, but we did manage to get it working through the Mac Mini in 1. We tested it with the director in between rounds and we should be set. NPP Projection Close 7/6

To do this evening/ was completed: I took down the brunch letters to make way for the marquee rental but wasn't able to start with the rental letters as the rain picked back up, so that will have to go up tomorrow morning. All the President's Men went smoothly until the last reel. Halfway through the reel, the lamp went out. I called MOD and stopped the show, put house lights up, MOD made an announcement about the lamp. I couldn't unlock the lamphouse door to investigate, and simply turning the breaker on and off did nothing, so I just transferred the reel to the other projector and picked back up where we left off. The crowd lost about a minute of image overall. This happened just a few minutes before the credits start in the film. Afterward, I was able to unlock the door and I nudged the cable, which seemed to do the trick once I turned the breaker back on: I was able to strike the lamp successfully.
