NPP Projection 11/28 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Put Spartan back on shipping reels. Put up the marquee letters for tomorrow's rental. Lot of manual starts tomorrow just a heads up. Presentation Issues: T3 final round: A couple had complaints about our closed-caption devices. The first one I gave them was working properly but they flagged someone down saying it wasn't working. When the device was handed back to me it was still on and working fine. So I gave them a second unit, and afterward they told MOD the captions were incompletely displayed throughout. Before I handed it to them the captions looked complete to me, but I feel like I recall a similar complaint in the past so this may have occurred. Can test tomorrow if need be. Projection Admin 11/28

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Had an unfortunate debacle in which, not only was the charging port/touch pad for the Fidelio moving slow, but a headset I gave out for Wicked with a VI track would not work. Initially I tried another headset or two after rebooting the port just to double check and tried them in other theatres, with Wicked playing, which worked, just not in Theatre 1 still. Then I noticed that the cabling in the booth looked off for the Fidelio, which I presume was not put back from testing for 35mm headset capability, or something else, but I can't think of anything else we'd be moving it around for. I matched everything back, tested it, and it's working just fine now. NPP Projection 11/27

To do this evening/ was completed: Quiet day on my end. Downloaded and ingested the Dance Freak feature. Built playlists for King Kong (we're waiting on Kaiju and Kong preshow pieces), Brazil, Life of Brian, Familiar Touch and Monty Python Holy Grail.  **Noticed I made the 12/5 trailer packs with a 4.0 volume cue for the Book_V3_XMAS_5.1 trailer. I see we have the other Book_V3 trailer listed at 3.7, don't think we've listened to this one yet, which is to say I haven't updated that cue. NPP Projection Close 11/26

To do this evening/ was completed: 12/5 preshow content ingested. Built all 12/5 A1 playlists. Ingested the slide for Familiar Touch. Inspected all of the SoF print, Mercenaries from Hong Kong. It's in ok condition, looks decently faded/pink to me. Noticed that the two cans we received of King Kong are labeled 1/3 and 3/3. Opened up 3/3 and the reels are labeled 7-9, so seems we're missing a third of the film at the moment. NPP Projection Report 11/26 Admin(ish)/Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Short day for me here since I had to be at Williamsburg this morning. I noticed that, after Sunday, Screenwriter was giving a "no valid KDM" warning for screenings of Wicked in T2. I reached out to Deluxe and after some back and forth got them to re-upload the server certificate for T2 and generate new keys, which did the trick. All set here. NPP Projection Close 11/25

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Scope masking 2.39 cue was built into the Spartan SPL but was not wide enough for the picture...Lillian was in the auditorium watching and said to trigger the film masking cue but I did not see her message in time...she came up to 4/6 and hit the cue on the quick controls...the image looked fine for the rest of the screening Preshow Clips/Playlist: Converted the intro slide for Nightmare on Elm Street 4 to DCP and saved it to the P&T drive...later ingested it to the LMS Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Set up the mic and mixer in theater 4 for the intro to Spartan ...intro and screening went smoothly (changeovers were nice and clean) save for a brief interlude when the lamp in projector 2 began to go dark and back to light...realized I'd had the damn exhaust valves turned the wrong way thinking they were open (got too used to the valves on booth 1's machines)...and brought the house lights up and corrected t...

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled staff screenings on the LMS (blocked on the calendar as well) for tomorrow and Monday, 12/1, since we open early on Thursday and Friday.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Scheduled the LMS for the week of 11/28.  Trailer Updates:  Special Events/ AV set up: School screening went just fine in T1 today despite the rowdiness of the kids. Deleted the Guardians DCP.  Downloading 2000 Meteres  via Aspera Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received three posters - Hoppers, Is Thing Thing On, Moana (2026 live action).
