Projection Admin 6/18

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey y'all! Friendly but important reminder to make sure that you set the HowToOrder_Drama_G at 4.2 (this is on the white board above the desk in 4//6.) I brought up the volume in the DCP once more and will test it on Friday, but for now, double check that your volume for trailers and preshow looks right. With that said, I adjusted all 6/20 playlists for first run tomorrow and adjusted the SE shows, too. - Lillian  Weekly update is out! Few important notes: keys for Freaks come in soon an will go live Sunday, but they will be here. No keys for Bound yet, but that's fine. There is a rare intro on Saturday (for Compensation !). July is a nutty month, so please make sure to keep a close eye on your work weeks. NOTE: We lose Bring Her Back tomorrow!  Strong is out of stock on the JBL woofers I ordered yesterday, they offered an equivalent replacement which has been ordered in place of the JBL ones. NPP Projection 6/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: PS107's event in theater 2 went smoothly and the mics were returned to the booth to charge following the show Set up for trivia at Trees Lounge this evening The Matrix Revolutions screening in theater 1 went well save for some alternating of volume levels throughout as the audio for the first few reels was very hushed compared to how loud the rest of it gets once the action starts in reels 4-7 (mics were returned to the booth to charge and both projectors were cleaned + exhausts shut) Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Received copies of  Best in Show and The Princess Bride for upcoming private events this week and began ripping  Best in Show through MakeMKV and HandBrake (update: the film is running through DCP-o-matic and should finish within 24 hours) Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection:  The...

NPP Projection Report 6/17 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: I ordered two replacement woofers for Theater 1 today. These should be here on Thursday, I will install them on Friday. We have two more on order with JBL, but they don't expect stock until August. We will keep this order in place so we have extras. I didn't get around to looking at either  Compensation  or  I'm Your Venus  before doors today, but I transferred these features to their theater servers to look at tomorrow. To do this evening/ was completed: Pee-Wee print went smoothly, though the print seemed a bit soft in general and P1 was showing some softness on the sides while the center stays in focus. I re-inspected the print after the show. NPP Projection Admin 6/16 (Will on admin, Lillian on Mid)

To do this evening/ was completed: Checked out the right driver on the bottom shelf today, which has the same cosmetic issue as the one that got taken out the other week. Levels are visible on the dolby app, I resat the wires and pushed the cone in (emailed Alec about this) but in any case, running a feature showed the driver to be somewhat in working condition, just on the soft side, but I got movement. We're working on getting these replaced as fast as possible. We are alright at the moment for now. I ran through The Materialists and nothing is noticeably out of place. - L Kai from PS107 came by to check out the DCP for tomorrow's big event with all the school kids in T2. I have built a playlist for this with the adjustments. FYI - the film has a weird mix so it's soft in some parts, loud in others. NPP Projection Report 6/15 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: No issues tonight. Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): I managed to get the "Syndey & Kim" short downloaded. I had to download it on the website they uploaded it to, and only when the download finished there did I get the option to choose where to save the file to on the computer and download it again. Not sure about this aspect ratio, it looks like something between 1.66 and 1.78. Converting to DCP onto George in T1. Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Tomorrow checked, all good. Projection Close 6/14

To do this evening/ was completed: Jared radioed me to let me know that part of the preshow sounded far, far too low, which turned out to be the How To Order drama (G). I brought it up to 4.2 from 3.5 and adjusted all the 6/13 - 6/19 playlists. I put the DCP  in dcpomatic to see if a level adjustment can work a treat for our usual 3.5 in the screening rooms. The V2 has been ingested and I'll check it out Monday/will update the 6/20 playlists and delete the old How To if it works.  Presentation Issues: No other issues.  Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Attempting to download the Sydney and Kim short (in 4/6 now), yet again, since it was still struggling in T1. I reached out to see if the hosts can use any other transfer setup.
