NPP Projection Close 8/9

To do this evening/ was completed: Basically just Odyssey 35mm tonight. Both shows went smoothly but there were some projector issues. The first issue was a bit of a darkening across the bottom of the screen. Will ran loops after Citizen Ruth and was having issues with darkness on the sides of the screen so he loosened the lens collar knob inside the projector, but this caused the bottom of the image to darken: What you see is not the frame line creeping up at the bottom: framing was correct.  Tightening that lens collar knob seemed to diminish the issue significantly but did not fully get rid of it. I tried to adjust the other lens knob above the lens that shifts the picture horizontally but this didn't do anything. The second issue of the night was me noticing toward the end of the first show that the roller at the bottom of the projector was not spinning at all. NPP Projection Open 8/9

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops ahead of  Citizen Ruth  in 4. Refocused for the 1.85 lenses. Overall everything went well. Had a bit of a battle with focus at the top of the first couple reels. Lots of splices throughout but the print runs fine. Rewound it heads out for 8/13. Scope lens is focused for The Odyssey Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection:  Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cleaned both projectors following Citizen Ruth Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Marquee updated?: Posters updated?: Cleaning lights on for the night?: Projection cart by entrance?: Additional Notes: Block of ADA seats removed from theater 2 during the CVF screening. Projection Close 8/8

To do this evening/ was completed: Busy night for the bar. Lots of folks out for Odyssey and Spiderman.  Both 35mm shows of the Odyssey went great! Just FYI - I noticed there was new tape on the port glass and a different scope masking cue in the playlists. Please use the film masking cue for scope. This properly opens the screen up. I adjusted the tape and the cue for it before the shows went off.  Projector and platter in T4 are ready for tomorrow.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Took two headsets out for T3 final round tonight. NPP Projection Open 8/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Set up all Spoons equipment this morning. Show went smoothly. Broke everything down afterward, mics/lightboard/stands back in booths. Inspected all of Fargo. On house reels, good condition. Stills up on Drive. Presentation Issues: Noticed about 9 minutes into T4 round two feature (Odyssey) that the Christie had become "unreachable" via IMS/LMS. Went to look at the picture and it was window-boxed, the scope lens cue failed. Switched over to scope immediately. Christie controls are/were still working normally, but some type of disconnect happened. IMB status was/is green, as is everything else on the Christie front page. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: The Odyssey 35mm in theater 4 concluded with no issues; cleaned the projector and platter/rollers and covered the print Wild Inside intro and Q&A in theater 1 went smoothly and ended on schedule; put the chairs back and returned the mics to the booth to charge Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): The End of Oak Street ,  Tony , Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma , and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie  content was made available via Deluxe Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Finished inspecting  Citizen Ruth  in 4/6; many splices throughout that needed reinforcing but otherwise the print looks great + added a handful of stills to the shared drive Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Double checked and initialed for confirmation M...

Projection Admin 8/6

To do this evening/ was completed: Alec n I got the matinee 35mm of the Odyssey up and running and handed out a VI device for a lady in seat 403. We've done this for a show before and just try to match it up as best we can. Please snag this after the show! Thank you! Print continues to look great.  Presentation Issues: No issues.  Preshow Clips/Playlist:  I brought the volume up for One Night Only (just not for the babies playlist(!), which I also made and scheduled for Tuesday).  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Wild Inside is all set for this evening's screening, intro, Q&A...and Alec made adjustments to the lamp in T2.
