Projection Report 2/15



Presentation Issues: Nada

Preshow Clips/Playlist: built the WILLY WONKA playlist for the weekend. There was no end credit offset information on Deluxe, so I added a little black at the end of the playlist to make the lights-up process a bit more gradual.

** scheduled shows for Saturday through Thursday. Deleted a ton of stuff from the servers to make room for incoming shows (including Glass and Capernaum, which ended their runs today) Be on the lookout for manual starts . . .

Trailer Updates: Matthew asked for Fighting With My Family to be added to the trailer pack when we have the opportunity

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): received posters for THE WEDDING GUEST and THE MUSTANG. Not sure if we're showing these. Posters are still in tubes in booth 3/7.

Ordering/Receiving (content): received the drive for FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY. It has been ingested to TMS, ready for next weekend (file is 'FightingWithFa'...). Drive is now stored away in the drive pile.

** KDMs were expired for both Cold War and Shoplifters. I e-mailed Eclair and got some new ones sent over. We should be all good for the week now.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Carried some outgoing drives over to the UPS drop

Print/video Inspection: I did QCs for BLACK PANTHER, EVERYBODY KNOWS, and WILLY WONKA. All three films look and sound great on screen. Playlists have appropriate volume cues.

Distro Doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: the desk lamps seem to have gone out in booth 4/6. I went looking for a spare lightbulb but turned up empty handed (MODs also seemed to not know where these are). Anybody know where the extra bulbs might be?

Cue sheets updated (only if needed): I made the cue sheets for Saturday through Thursday

Showtime boards & recording updated?: removed Glass and Capernaum from the outside marquee, put up Everybody Knows. Also: on the north side of the marquee, I took down "Now Open" and replaced it with "Black Panther / This Weekend" in the hopes of catching some foot traffic. Matthew and I spoke a bit about plans for where things will be going on the marquee starting next week.

** Removed Capernaum from outside posters, replaced it with Greta. Moved CLIMAX into the lobby case

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Additional Notes: Matthew arrived with some director's chairs. They are now stored behind the curtain in theater 2.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
