Projection Report 5/27 open



Presentation Issues: It brings me much sadness to report that the sold out 3:25 showing of Aladdin in Theater 5 had to be cancelled. Some issue (either between the TMS and the T5 IMS or just the IMS) caused the server to become "unreachable" according to the error message I got. My issues with T5 began this morning. It was refusing to recognize the Aladdin CPL even though I could see it listed under "Multiplex Content." I tried re-ingesting it (via a direct connection to the Christie/IMS since trying to do it over the TMS was extremely slow and we only had a couple hours to showtime), but the problems continued. Every time it reached Aladdin in the playlist, it would skip to the end of the show. At this point (probably from trying to reload the playlist so many times, or as a result of the original issues), the TMS and T5 IMS both froze/crash. We were already 10 minutes past showtime, so we had to call it. Once the theater was clear and I managed to get the servers to reboot, I reloaded the playlist and the feature played without issue.

Assuming Billy is here tomorrow, I'm going to ask him to check out the Christie/IMS in theater 5 and see if there are any firmware or other maintenance issues that need to be addressed. If he's not, I'll contact DMS and have him or someone else come look at it ASAP. Hopefully they'll have some concrete answers for us. Until then, PLEASE reboot the Theater 5 IMS at the end of every shift. You can do this by logging into the IMS web gui directly (via the folder on the bookmarks bar labelled "Theater IMS") and clicking the red power button and then selecting reboot.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
