Projection Report 5/31 (admin)



Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated the end credit lights up cue on Goonies re: the info on Deluxe One, as well as the volume cue for the feature (I moved it up to 5.0).

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): I put in an order for posters of TOY STORY 4 and SPIDER-MAN. The person at Vision said they do not have MIDSOMMAR posters yet — I think I spotted an extra teaser poster at NWB last night, though. I'll try to bring this down for my Monday shift.

Ordering/Receiving (content): ingested TOO LATE TO DIE YOUNG (Tarde Para Morir Joven, which is also the file name) to TMS.

** we received HIGH ART. Feature has been ingested to TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): packed up drive for The Hustle (as well as an old Trailmix and the duplicate Rocketman), carried them to the UPS drop

Print/video Inspection: Did a full QC of Too Late To Die Young in theater 3. Volume should be at 5.5. The film is also 1.66 inside of a 1.85 frame — since we do not yet have side masking in theater 3, we will have to run the film pillar boxed. Got the end credit offset, too (all info is in the assets doc). Keep in mind that this film is subtitled (play the file that includes "EN" in the naming convention").

** did a QC of Goonies in theater 1 to check volume level.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): We swapped the last round in theaters 2 and 3 for tonight (Booksmart to 2, Rocketman to 3). Cue sheets and scheduler have been updated. Note that this means the last round of Booksmart is a manual start.

Marquee updated?: I mis-read the film schedule/cue sheets and removed Long Shot from the marquee. Also took down The Hustle, and added Ma and Rocketman to the front of the marquee. Added Long Shot back to the front side later in the afternoon.

Posters updated?: Replaced The Hustle outside with Ma, added a 'Now Playing' snipe to Rocketman

Cleaning lights on for the night?: n/a

Projection cart by TH5?: returned to booth 3/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
