Projection report (admin) 8/1



Presentation Issues: The drive we received for YESTERDAY is busted. John Woods is getting Cinevizion to overnight us a new drive — hopefully it will be first thing in the morning, but keep an eye out tonight just in case they deliver it earlier than expected.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: added lights up cues to Hobbs & Shaw. Also made a special playlist for the staff screenings today and tomorrow.

Trailer Updates: Kris sent out an updated trailer doc but we are still waiting on the new content — should be here in the morning, I'll update trailer packs during tomorrow's admin shift

Special Events/ AV set up: Staff screening of HOBBS & SHAW, which doubled as a QC for the feature. Volume at 5.5 felt pretty good to me.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): received posters for WHERE DID YOU GO BERNADETTE, BLINDED BY THE LIGHT, and IT: CHAPTER 2.

** also ordered a poster for THE KITCHEN

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received a new drive of YESTERDAY, but it would not load to TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: see above

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Checked

Maintenance/cleaning: I helped Michael move a very heavy speaker from booth 3/7 up to theater 2 (using one of the new furniture dollies! they really make life a lot easier, thanks for getting these Michael)

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: one of the 'L's in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood fell off the front marquee. I have replaced it. I also added Hobbs And Shaw to the front.

** also updated the south side with our new movie riddle

Posters updated?: added a 'now playing' snipe to the Hobbs & Shaw poster. I also took down Ad Astra outside and replaced it with Where Did You Go Bernadette. (the poster case on the left with the double of Hollywood seems to be stuck...) In the lobby I took down H&S and replaced it with a 'coming soon' It: Chapter Two teaser poster.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
