Projection Report 9/24 Close



Presentation Issues: We had some big problems with the lighting automation tonight in the middle round. Theaters 2 and 4 failed to activate lights automatically — in both cases this led to lights not coming on during credits, but for theatre 4 specifically it caused lights not to go down for the start of feature (It: Chapter 2). Michael and I were able to run lights manually in 2 for the dinner round of Hustlers, though. Lights never went back to manual in 4, and I ran the last round manually. We should take a look at this more closely tomorrow. (This did not seem to affect any other automation cues)

Preshow Clips/Playlist: waiting on the Oct27 update for the October Card before making the new playlists

** sent Snoopy out to projector 2

*** updated the Overtime playlist tomorrow with the last clip, as well as adding black between clips, and a masking cue at the head of the playlist

Trailer Updates: grabbed the Parasite and Jumanji trailers from Trailmix, sent them to all projectors for our upcoming updates

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): I put in an order for Abominable posters

Ordering/Receiving (content): Akira failed to ingest to TMS when Alec was here, so I rebooted TMS and restarted the transfer. I've ingested the version that's in Japanese with English subtitles (the English dubbed version is a different file on the hard drive). Feature has been sent to projector 1.

** waiting on Abominable (scheduled to get here tomorrow by eod), Bell Book & Candle, and Joker feature content

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: did a QC of Snoopy Come Home in theater 2. Feature looks great on screen. It's a bit loud, so I'd suggest setting the volume cue at 5.0.

** also QC'd episode 10 of Overtime in theater 3. Played fine, no issues to report.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Checked, updated volume on Snoopy

Maintenance/cleaning: I returned the laptop HDMI extender to its place under screen 1. I'm not sure I plugged it back in correctly, though, so please double check this before trying to run a show through it.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked cue sheets for tomorrow — Rambo is listed on Matthew's schedule as the first show in theater 3, when we have the Overtime private event. The private event is in both scheduler and on the cue sheets for 3:30 preshow start. I did not change anything related to this. Otherwise, the sheet was fine.

Marquee updated?: still up to date

Posters updated?: took down Ford v. Ferrari in the lobby, replaced it with Marriage Story, which is opening sooner

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projectors off for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by TH5?: Yes

Nest: Trivia Night! Same as it always is, no problems. Equipment has been returned to booth 4/6.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
