NPP Projection Report 11/25/19 - Close - Dylan



Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: ingested Queen & Slim and Knives Out to TMS. Deleted Nightmare On Elm Street from TMS and projector 1.

* Knives Out was not finished ingesting to TMS at the end of night (10% left!!) so I have left it to finish over night. Feature will needed to be added to the B1 playlist in the morning, and then it'll be ready to schedule.

** waiting on Queen & Slim preshow so we can build out the playlist. Was not in EVO tonight.

*** added lights up  \and volume cues to Krisha's playlist. Also added an extra 30 seconds of black after the feature since the credits are a little short.

Trailer Updates: I grabbed the Bombshell trailer from the Knives Out drive since it was on there

Special Events/ AV set up: Nightmare On Elm Street reasonable midnight. All DCP, all automated. No issues.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): received and ingested new keys for Hala, Jojo and Ford

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: I sent Krisha to theater 1 and QC'd it there since that room had the most time open in it. All good. note: Krisha switches between three different aspect ratios during the film (4x3, 1.85, and Scope), but they are all built inside the 1.85 frame. The lens setting should be Flat for the whole film.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Checked/updated

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Added lights up end time to Krisha for tomorrow, Also checked tomorrow's cue sheet and schedule in full — no problems.

Marquee updated?: took all letters down from the north side, put up info on Krisha, Knives Out, and Queen & Slim

Posters updated?: n/a

Cleaning lights on for the night?: yes

Projectors off for the night?: yes

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
