NPP Projection Report 11/7 Close, Alec


Presentation Issues: No issues, I forgot to mention in my blog last night that the last foil cue on Marriage Story does not bring the lights up from MID so we have to switch to Lts UP manually. Also, during the first showing tonight the tail running through was audible (analog sound must have been switched to projector 2 yesterday, but we should leave it switched to 1 in case there is a problem at some point with the digital soundtrack on the print). Long story short just make sure you mute the CP750 when the dowser on projector #1 closes at the end of the film.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled show playlists for Thursday 11/14, and for the special events of NeverEnding Story and Everybody's Everything.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Deleted Zombieland from TMS and theater servers.

Print/video Inspection: I put on the Guardians of the Galaxy DCP in Theater 3 and the same thing happened where it cut off at 34 minutes.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for All That Heaven Allows, drive is set to arrive on Monday.

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Took down everything on the north side and put up The Trouble with Harry and The NeverEnding Story.

Posters updated?: Reorganized outside posters so the left is all now showing (Joker, Parasite, Marriage Story (the single poster), Irishman, Jojo, and Lighthouse) and the right is coming soon (Frozen 2, Ford v. Ferrari, Uncut Gems, and Knives Out).

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
