NPP Projection Report Saturday 5/29

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Theater 1 curtains didn't open again. This time I was distracted with checking equipment inventory and forgot to check during the preshow, and I got a call from Gil when the movie started that the curtains had not opened and I opened them with the motor. Very sorry about this.  Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Paddington 2 blu-ray is in 4/6 for Thursday. I'll check volume/runtime then. Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Replaced the air filters in the projectors in houses 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. I doubt this was the cause of their lamps simultaneously shutting off last night but they were overdue for a change. I'll write Matthew about ordering more as we should be changing these monthly. Started updating the inventory document. Cue sheets u

NPP Projection Report Friday 5/28

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Shortly after 9pm, the lamps on the projectors in theaters 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 all shut off unexpectedly. I got a call from Jesse that there was "sound but no picture" in Theater 7, at which point I checked the VNC screen for that projector from 4/6 and saw the "Unexpected Light Off" error. I turned the lamp back on and rewound the movie 3 minutes. Then I got a call from Eliel at Hi-Res that the "movie stopped" in Theater 4, and saw the same error on that screen and turned the lamp back on. Then I checked the VNC screen for all the projectors and saw the same error on the other projectors listed above. I turned the lamps back on on all of them (none had movies playing) and went around to all these booths to physically check the venting from the projector and the booth A/C, all of which was working properly. I also checked the status menu on all the projectors for any temperature or cooling warnings and

NPP Projection Report - Wednesday - 5/26

To do this evening/ was completed:  Presentation Issues: The lights at the back of theater 2 (the three closest to the booth port window) are too bright and create a harsh shadow on the top of the screen when in the "House Lights FULL" macro. Several servers and Gil have brought this to my attention but I am not sure if the wrong bulbs were used or if the intensity of the lights can/need to be adjusted to keep this from happening at the beginning and end of shows.  Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Pre-show for  Jurassic Park  in T6 did not start as scheduled. Started manually and forwarded the playlist so it ended according to the schedule. The rest of the screening went smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We received a new TrailMix DCP for the week of 5/28. Ordering/Receiving (content): Alec corresponded with Jim from NWB about keys and a DCP for  Port Authority . We are expecting a DCP of our own to arrive here some time

NPP Projection Report - Tuesday - 5/25

To do this evening/ was completed: Ingested and built playlists for “A Quiet Place Part II/Cruella.” A new playlist was built for “Dream Horse” in order to make use of the new All Ages trailer pack that Alec set up this past week (for 5/28) which was also added to the “Cruella” playlist. Marquee letters were organized behind T3/7 at Jess’s request for a special event photo shoot happening next week. Letters for “A Quiet Place Part II/Cruella” were also organized behind T3/7 and are ready for display. The cue sheet and schedule for the week of 5/28 are nearly done; we are still waiting on keys for “A Quiet Place Part II/Cruella” and “Port Authority.” Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: All Ages trailer pack (updated for 5/28) was added to the appropriate feature playlists. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: During theater checks I noticed the masking failed to open to scope during the pre-show for 5:15 “Scoob!” in T1. Used the motor beneath the screen to open the masking as the film started. Server staff informed me that the lights had changed to cleaning during the pre-show for 9:00 “Spiral” in T2. The lights were brought down using macro execution before the film started. NPP Projection Report 5/22

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: None. Preshow Clips/Playlist: Scheduled preshow for the private event in T6 on Wednesday 5/26. -Since we updated the Adult trailer pack for A Quiet Place opening early on Thursday, there's no need to build new playlists for Adult features for next week, we can just go ahead and schedule the ones labeled 052721. We'll need new playlists for All Ages features though. Trailer Updates: Built a new All Ages trailer pack for next week (labeled 052821). Please use this one for next week's Scoob/Dream Horse/Cruella playlists. Special Events/ AV set up: On the T6 rack, I switched the Multi-Ch Analog input on the CP750 from the 35mm processor to the blu-ray player so we'll have surround sound for the event on Wednesday. I'll leave it this way for the time being as we're likely to have more blu-ray events in here before showing any prints. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Driv

Will - Wednesday - 5/19/21

To do this evening/ was completed: Private event screening in T5 went without error. Corresponded with Alec about trailer and cue sheet adjustments for the upcoming week. He will take care of those when he arrives tomorrow morning. The afternoon and evening crowds were steady throughout. Presentation Issues: The NEON logo at the start of “The Killing of Two Lovers” is oddly cropped on the left and right hand side of frame. For whatever reason this was not letterboxed on the DCP file to properly fit the 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: “Frozen 2” screening in T5 went smoothly. The blu-ray was placed in booths 3/7. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received one sheets for “The Sparks Brothers.”  Ordering/Receiving (content): Additional TrailerPack DCP for the week of 5/21 was received. “Scoob!” DCP is still in transit and should arrive by the morning. Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc

Will - Sunday - 5/16/21

To do this evening/ was completed: The afternoon was moderately busy and all shows played as scheduled. There were a few sell out shows towards the middle of the day. I m anually started the 8:45 Demon Slayer in T6 from the booth office around 8:33 and the show finished at 11:07. The 8:50  Army of the Dead did not start in T1 as scheduled. Gerard communicated to me that the pre-show had not begun on time so I forwarded the playlist to the appropriate timecode before guests entered the auditorium. The show ended at 11:05 as scheduled. Jim - Sunday - 5/9/21

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Mostly smooth all around today. The only issue was that TH2 didn't start when it was supposed to during the last round. Not sure the cause of this since it was scheduled as usual, but it was quickly fixed.
