NPP Projection Report 9/14


To do this evening/ was completed: Manual starts as marked on cue sheets. The only thing to note is the preshow for the Fellowship playlist is 31 minutes because of the NPP Forecast clip, so advance an extra minute into the preshow when you start it, playlist should end at 11:57.

Presentation Issues: Right after I said this issue had stopped, the sconce lights in 7 (channel 2) are occasionally failing to turn off with the house lights down cue. I removed the second lights down cue from the trailer packs so we won't have the issue of the lights turning back on right before the movie starts. We can just make sure they turn off properly at the start of trailers and they will stay off for the feature.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built new trailer packs, an Adult for 9/17 and a Teen for 9/23. New first run playlists with these trailer packs have been built as well.

All playlists for 9/17-9/23, except Blue Bayou, Boyz N The Hood, and Dear Evan Hansen, have been scheduled.

Trailer Updates: Ingested the trailer for Venom 2, added it to the current Adult trailer pack in place of Many Saints of Newark.

Special Events/ AV set up: Did a theater walkthrough with Desmond and Joe from New Fest. They mostly wanted to look at lighting in the theater for photographing the events, I showed them a few different settings and they said they felt good about it for pictures.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Got a one sheet for Language Lessons.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Cry Macho and built the playlist.

The corrected Langauge Lessons DCP has finally made a complete ingest. It's loading to Theaters 6 and 7 now. I'd like to take a quick look at it just to make sure there are no problems, I'll update the playlist with the new DCP after I get the chance tomorrow morning.

Blue Bayou DCP drive should be arriving tomorrow.

No tracking yet for Boyz N The Hood but it should be here by Monday the 20th.

Dear Evan Hansen should be here by Friday the 17th, no tracking yet on Deluxe.

Print/video Inspection: Teched the Fellowship of the Ring playlist, it's all set for tonight.

Teched the content for tomorrow night's Music Driven event in Theater 1. Host watched both DCPs all the way through and everything looked and sounded fine, so everything is good to go for tomorrow night.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
