NPP Projection Report 9/15

To do this evening/ was completed: Please keep an eye on the lights in Theater 7 at the start of trailers. There is no longer a house lights down cue at the end of the trailer packs, so there is no chance of the side lights turning back on right before the start of the feature. It's best to check them from the booth, if the green light next to "Channel 2" on the wall mounted dimmer for Theater 7 stays lit after the house lights down cue fires at the beginning of the trailer pack, the side lights are still on and you should fire the cue again so the green light goes off. Once it goes off, that indicates the side lights in the theater have turned off.

Shang-Chi manual starts in Theater 2.

Blue Bayou drive is coming tonight, please ingest it and build/schedule the playlist once it comes.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made a playlist for the event in Theater 1 tonight with cues to switch the processor to the microphone setting for the intro and Q&A.

Added the updated Language Lessons DCP to all of the SPLs for this feature.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Music Driven screening in Theater 1. Content is all set and teched, generic Music Driven preshow ready to go also. 1 wireless mic needed for the intro, 3 needed + director chairs for the Q&A. Not sure if they'll want to have the spots on, John will be able to say for sure.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Got posters for Spencer.

Called Vision to check on Blue Bayou posters, they should be here tomorrow.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested keys for Blue Bayou and Cry Macho, they activate tonight at midnight.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Teched the Eyes of Tammy Faye playlist, it's all set.

Took a quick look at the new Language Lessons DCP, no problems.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added tracking for Dear Evan Hansen, delivery estimate is still Friday 9/17.

Maintenance/cleaning: There were light change warnings on the projectors in theaters 5 and 6 when I got in today. We had one new bulb already so I decided to get the hard one out of the way and change the bulb in 5. Requested an order of 2 more of these bulbs (7 is getting close to expiring) with DMS.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
