NPP Projection Report 10/8


To do this evening/ was completed: Continue converting NewFest shorts to DCP.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Removed the Possessor trailer from the Titane trailer pack and replaced it with the Shorts Fest call for submissions.

Built a new Lamb playlist with the updated trailer pack for Thursday, finished cues and schedule for this date except for The Last Duel shows.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Got posters for The Last Duel, Encanto, and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. We also got another Dear Evan Hansen one sheet which I put with the trivia posters.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Drives for The Last Duel and Night of the Living Dead arrived. I'll be sending an email out with tasks for this weekend which will include a schedule for ingesting new content.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): UPS picked up our outgoing drives.

Print/video Inspection: Teched Psycho Goreman and Moonrise Kingdom, both are all set. Also looked at features Homebody and Under My Skin with Desmond for NewFest.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: I tightened the connections for the lamp in Theater 5's projector and tried turning off LiteLOC per Jerry's suggestion and it didn't have an effect on the flicker.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Finished putting up NewFest titles on the south facing side of the marquee.

Posters updated?: Took down the Dear Evan Hansen poster and moved Lamb over to its spot. Hung up The Last Duel with a coming soon snipe where Lamb was.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
