NPP Projection Report 11/10 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Take Da 5 Bloods down from the 14th street marquee and put up Wolfwalkers Nov 13 & 14.

When Belfast finishes ingesting build and schedule the playlist and update the timing on the cue sheets.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles playlist.

Looked at the preshow clip sent by Morricone Youth for the screening tomorrow night, it looks good (as in the video quality is pretty much on par with our usual preshows), but I think they are going to be sending an updated version. If they send it tonight I'll try and remote in to convert it to DCP so it's ready before tomorrow.

Trailer Updates: Downloaded the Another Round and Vast of Night trailers from Google Drive. Will add to the appropriate trailer packs tomorrow.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a new Trail Mix drive.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested the English dub of Ponyo to Theater 2 and deleted the Japanese language version. Cristina confirmed last night we're going to be showing the dub.

Received drives for Belfast and Wolfwalkers. Started ingesting Belfast to the TMS and Wolfwalkers to the Theater 2 IMS before I left.

The print of Never Talk to Strangers was delivered.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Teched the Ponyo playlist, it's all set for tomorrow.

Ran the last reel of Foxy Brown to check the volume level and time the credits. It looks and sounds good! Will probably do another tech check of the print with John tomorrow.

Inspected the Never Talk to Strangers print. Overall it's in good condition, a bit of a vinegar smell and some sprocket tears I had to tape over to make sure it runs through the projector safely, but should be a nice looking print.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added tracking for the Tenet print (delivery scheduled for Tuesday 11/16) and the Barb and Star drive (coming this Friday).

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes, updated timing for Foxy Brown tomorrow and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Checked cues for Friday 11/12 - Thursday 11/18. I noticed a few mistakes with screenings marked as "updates" on the film schedule. I get that these can be confusing so I'll try to clarify in person. You can always check FilmBot to see what's actually on sale, though.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
