NPP Projection Report 12/3 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: West Side Story DCP is due to arrive tonight by 9. Ingest it to the TMS when it comes and build/schedule the playlist for 12/9 and add the credits times to the cue sheets.

Presentation Issues:

Ordering/Receiving (content): Wrote to Deluxe about keys for The Best Man Holiday, they told me they will be delivered Tuesday 12/7 at 5am.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Cleared more content off IMS servers.

Print/video Inspection: Teched The Secret Life of Plants and The Holiday playlists, both are good to go!

Checked out the Benedetta preshow, it’s looking good!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Checked projector #2 in theater 1 again, this time I ran a reel from several different prints, both scope and flat—including The American Astronaut, and I did not have any jitter/focus issues at all. Not sure what the cause of it was after all but my best guess is somehow the gate was moved out of position, since I couldn’t recreate the issue by playing with the turret.

I also ran a few scratch tests on this projector, which came out clean.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Added Benedetta to the front.

Posters updated?: Took Red Rocket down from outside and hung Benedetta with a now showing snipe.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
