NPP Projection Report 1/31 Close


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the new forecast. Left the 40min and 20min Generic Brooklyn preshow clips downloading to the DCPII drive at the end of the night.

Built new trailer packs and first run playlists for all of next weeks titles, except Who We Are which is arriving tomorrow. Note there are two Jackass playlists, one with bonus content for the Thursday night shows and one without for all other shows. Scheduled playlists for Thursday 2/3.

Trailer Updates: Replaced the Speed Racer trailer with Kaguya in the Sing 2 playlist.

Special Events/ AV set up: Speed Racer 35mm screening with intro in Theater 1 went great! Recorded the intro just in case anyone wants it. Wound the print back onto shipping reels and attached the return label to the box.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Who We Are.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ordered the Howl’s Moving Castle DCP from Eclair.

Checked on the delivery of the Man Who Fell to Earth DCP, this is getting sent from another theater and John will share tracking when available.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Will create a shipment for the Fun print and schedule a pickup along with Speed Racer tomorrow.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the Starman print, it’s in excellent condition!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added an entry for Who We Are with tracking, should be coming tomorrow.

Added KDM delivery info for the three new first runs opening, all are going live on 2/3 either at midnight (Moonfall and Jackass) or at 6pm (Who We Are).

Maintenance/cleaning: Filed both scope aperture plates in the Theater 1 35mm projectors.

Added some oil to projector #1 in booth 1, and added intermittent oil to the feed sprocket and holdback sprocket oil cups on both projectors.

Cleaned both traps with WD-40.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes, filled in cues for 2/3.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
