NPP Projection Report 2/22

To do this evening/ was completed: Jerry from DMS was on site this morning to replace the changeover board in projector one (theater four)

Update: Jerry was unable to mount the board to the inside of the projector and will return Thursday morning to finish the work he started -- he asked that we do not power on the projectors between now and then -- he will coordinate with Alec about who is working Thursday to meet him

The schedule was sent out later than usual today so I began filling out the cue sheets for the upcoming week this evening; I will continue to work on this tomorrow afternoon

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Ingested the rest of the Oscars Shorts preshow content and built playlists for both live action and animated shows for the upcoming week; will have to tech each of these playlists for credit offset information unless it becomes available through the Deluxe portal

Ingested the newest forecast content for this week (2/25) and added it to all first run playlists

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: B.A.P.S. screening in theater 3 and trivia at HiRes both went smoothly this evening (I'm not sure why the mic level needs constant adjustment in HiRes but I've got it at a decent place now after messing with the dial) 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Near Dark print never arrived this evening (I checked the tracking number and nothing seems to have changed from when the shipping information was sent to FedEx?)

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
