NPP Projection Report 3/15 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Please leave Showgirls print on the cart at the end of the night after it’s screening, FedEx pickup is scheduled for tomorrow.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Added the new forecast and Late Round trailer to next week’s first run playlists.

Also downloaded and ingested the new Nitehawk Diaries trailer, the Superior Sequels trailer, and the Snake Eyes trailer.

Added the Snake Eyes trailer to tonight’s Showgirls playlist.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordered posters for Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested all shorts for the NSF encore programs to Theater 2, except the two which will be getting updated DCPs.

Ingested keys for The Manchurian Candidate, they open tonight at midnight so I can tech this during admin tomorrow.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Scheduled the pickup for Showgirls tomorrow, please leave it on the cart at the end of the night.

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for Steel Magnolias (which will be DCP, not 35mm) and Akira, both are coming tomorrow.

Checked on delivery for Careful and Wild Things prints, Wild Things should be coming on or by Friday, haven’t heard about Careful yet.

Added upcoming first runs through April, and added aspect ratio, audio, runtime, credits, and caption/assisted listening info for rep DCPs which are pending on Deluxe.

Maintenance/cleaning: Replaced ceiling bulbs in all three ground level theaters.

Also played with the dimmer settings for the sconces in 5 to see if I could figure out the flicker. Since they do not dim, just go on or off, I tried reducing the dimming time all the way which actually made it flicker more, but when I put this back the way it was and adjusted the dimmer level to be the same for both cleaning and preshow/credits settings I think it helped with the flickering. I tested each setting several times and in different sequences and didn’t see any flickering.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Finished filling in cues for next week, just need credit times for X and rep content we’ve yet to receive. Scheduled all existing playlists through Thursday as well.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
