NPP Projection Report 3/9


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled the Grease Sing Along playlist. No credit offset was given with the drive so we'll have to get this when we tech it on Friday when the keys are open.

Trailer Updates: Swapped the X trailer for Fantastic Beasts in a new R trailer pack for Thursday 3/17, made new playlists with this pack for relevant titles and scheduled them for 3/17.

Special Events/ AV set up: House Party 35mm screening and intro went great, left the mixer (turned off) with two mics and two stands under the curtain in Theater 4 for the intro tomorrow night.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a new Trail Mix drive.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received a new drive for Licorice Pizza, feature content on it was the same as already on the servers so I packed it up for return. We still have the first drive we got for this title.

Downloaded all NSF shorts for the encore programs except the two which received updated versions.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Printed and attached return labels for Crouching Tiger and The Lives of Others prints. Scheduled a FedEx pickup for tomorrow for both of these as well as House Party. Left all of them on the cart by the side entrance at the end of the night.

Walked all outgoing drives to the UPS store.

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added tracking for Farewell Amor, coming Friday 3/11, and Chopping Mall, coming tomorrow.

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Went over tomorrow's cues, they're all good. Updated timing for Sundays on Fire this weekend, Grease (minus credit start time), and Showgirls.

Marquee updated?: Updated rep titles on the front. Took down Shorts Festival and Eve's Bayou and put up Grease Sing Along and Showgirls.

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projectors off for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by TH5?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
