NPP Projection Report 4/15 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: At open tomorrow, check the Theater 1 IMS to see if the schedule is gone, I scheduled shows for tomorrow so I could confirm it does in fact erase every time the server powers on.

Reingest Morbius keys when the DCP finishes ingesting to Theater 4, it needed to transfer to that house and it won’t ingest to any IMS if the keys are loaded, I only removed the key from Theater 4, the zip file with all the keys is in the KDM folder, renamed with the title.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested preshows for The Northman, Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and The Bad Guys, built their playlists for the 21st, also made new playlists for R and PG titles with the trailer changes for the 21st and scheduled them for that date. 

Trailer Updates: Ingested the Downton Abbey trailer and sent it to all houses as this was supposed to be in the PG-13 trailer pack for this week. Removed the Bad Guys trailer from the pack and added this one.

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up and tested a mic in Theater 3 for the Prince of Egypt intro tomorrow morning. Levels are good, and I left a stand under the curtain.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Unbearable Weight DCP came in, I ingested it to the TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Checked the Prince of Egypt playlist for this weekend, it’s good to go.

Ran a bit of both House on Haunted Hill and Friday prints in Theater 4, both looked great, Friday is a bit scratched but still looks really good. Noted volumes for both, the volume will need to be raised when the feature starts on both prints as they both include extra material at the beginning. There’s a trailer before House on Haunted Hill and a music video before Friday.

Forgot to put this in my blog yesterday, but I inspected the Cat People print, which is in great condition.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added tracking for Fleshtone, we’re allegedly getting a proper print delivered on Tuesday. Will check it once it arrives to make sure it’s a complete and screenable print.

Maintenance/cleaning: Spoke to Chris from DMS over the phone, mostly to give him the service tags on the Booth PCs which aren’t working and some more details about the scheduling problems with the Theater 1 IMS. He also told me that the original model of drives he was going to order for us to upgrade the IMS storage are no longer made so he’s been speaking to Christie to see what drives they would recommend instead for the severs. He said this would likely make the quote go down as the drives he was going to order are quite expensive. After we spoke, I sent him a screenshot of the TMS schedule for Theater 1 for today and tomorrow and of the schedule on the Theater 1 IMS webpage. He should have some more info on Monday, as he tried contacting Christie and Dolby today and they were both closed for the holiday.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in credit times for the new titles opening on Thursday 4/21.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
