NPP Projection Report 4/19 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Continue building cue sheets and schedule shows for next week. Note any playlists which will need to be manually transferred to Theater 1.

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received more Fleshtone materials from its distributor and sadly, they are still not useable. This time, they sent 3 reels of negative picture only, no soundtrack at all. Unfortunately this might just be the end of the road for this one. I’ll get the box they sent returned this week.

Received and ingested new keys for Sonic 2 and The Lost City.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): DHL confirmed they’ll be picking up both Repo Man and They Live prints tomorrow, these are on the cart by the side entrance, labeled.

Deadful Melody print was picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Ran some of the Cat People print with Cristina, it looks great. Noted the volume, though it will be close to a full house on Thursday night so it may need to be raised.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Checked the closed captions in Theater 2. When I tried them initially, first with Fantastic Beasts which was playing last night when they weren’t working, and then with Everything Everywhere, I had the same issue, the screen just said “Dolby Captiview ready” and no captions displayed. Everything was connected properly, otherwise the device would have said “Not found, searching,” so I unplugged the Fidelio unit on the side of the rack and plugged it back in. After that, captions displayed on the device normally.

Filed the 1.85 aperture plate for P2 in Theater 4, as there was a bit of shadow on the top of the screen.

Replaced the internal power supply in the CP750 for Theater 1. It seems to be functioning normally. Since I had to disconnect and reconnect everything I checked all inputs, digital, mics, and 35mm, in addition to running the DCP channel ID test and all were working properly.

Received tracking for the new AC interlock for the Theater 1 Christie and filters for the Christie 2220 projectors, they’re coming on Friday.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Began filling in cue sheets for next week. Got all titles and showtimes in and started filling in preshow times.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
