NPP Projection Report 4/21 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Check over cue sheets for the week.

Delete the features screening for the last time in certain theaters as noted on the whiteboard.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated credit lights cues in the Bad Guys playlist. also added cues to raise the volume on the preshow clips to 3.8 as it sounded a bit quiet. Forecasts, PSAs, etc. will still play at 3.5.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Since Desmond accidentally pocketed the 4/6 spotlight remote after his intro last night, we’ll use the remote from Theater 3 for tonight’s Cat People intro. By the time I got to checking it the movie had started in 4, but it worked in 6 so it should definitely work in 4 as well. The remotes aren’t connected to the specific lights, so they can be used in any of the theaters with these spotlights.

Checked the slideshow with the clicker for Shouting at the Screen with Cristina in Theater 2, all was well with that. However I will try to change the settings on the spotlight control board so the stationary lights are off for their presentation with just the moving lights illuminating the right side of the stage. I tried doing it today but I could only seem to control the moving spotlights. The theater was about to open otherwise I would’ve pulled out the manual. I’ll take a look tomorrow, there must be a way to adjust the stationary ones.

Went over the whole setup with Jack and Cristina as well. Think we covered all the details, there are a lot for this event. The most time consuming will probably be setting up the three wired mics to extend from the stage to the back of the theater, but there’s 25 minutes between rounds so there should be enough time to take care of everything.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Friday print and Fleshtone negatives were picked up by FedEx.

Print/video Inspection: Teched all three playlists for titles opening tonight. All are good to go, Bad Guys credits ended up being 3 minutes longer than the offset given with the drive. Updated all shows on cue sheets and told MOD about it. Also checked The Northman in every theater it’s playing in through the weekend since it has an odd aspect ratio and we haven’t used the masking stop and projector macro in a while. Looked good in all houses.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Noticed the side light furthest from the entrance in Theater 3 was flickering rapidly. I tried swapping the bulb and messing with the dimmer settings but neither stopped it flickering. I told Matthew and we should be getting an electrician in to look at it soon. For now, I’ve removed the bulbs from both sconces. They only come on for cleaning lights in this theater.

Labeled where to disconnect/reconnect the Fidelio receivers based on what’s most accessible in each booth. In 3 and 7, it’s easiest to disconnect it from the outlet, so I labeled the plug “Fidelio.” In 4 and 6, it’s easiest to disconnect the power cable from the Fidelio receiver itself so I labeled that “Power.” In 1, 2, and 5, both are equally accessible so I labeled both.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated the credit start times for all Bad Guys shows.

Marquee updated?: Added new titles to the front of the marquee. Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent had to be shortened to just “Unbearable Weight” as there was not enough space with all the other titles up.

Posters updated?: Took down Ambulance, The Batman, and Fantastic Beasts outside and hung The Northman, The Bad Guys, and Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Hung posters for Men and Doctor Strange as coming soon in the lobby.

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

Projection cart by entrance?:

Additional Notes: The Northman staff screening had to be moved to Theater 4 since Juan was working in Theater 3. The screening tomorrow will be in Theater 3 as planned, I checked with Juan to make sure. Also moved the Unbearable Weight screening to 7 for tomorrow, emailed staff about the change. I realized I forgot to add these to the Theater Blocking calendar but I’ve added tomorrow’s screenings.
