NPP Projection Report 4/29 Admi

To do this evening/ was completed: The hosts for the private event will be dropping off a blu-ray tonight.

Presentation Issues: I tried to recreate some of the issues that came up with the HDMI connection in Theater 2 last night. Though I didn’t get any IMB or Marriage errors, something is definitely up with it. Both blu-ray and the laptop appeared fine at first, but after switching between the two a few times the picture from the laptop eventually froze on screen, with a dark blue bar across the screen towards the top, and did not go away even when I connected the blu-ray player. I checked the settings for the channel and compared them to the HDMI channels in Theater 1, and all the settings were correct. I’ve told Chris from DMS about this, and it will be looked at during the visit on Tuesday. He also mentioned an alternate way of projecting an HDMI connection with a CPL played on the DCP channel, which I will try next time I’m in and the theater is not open for screenings. Had no issues playing DCP in Theater 2.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Scheduling issues with Theater 1 have been resolved, so I scheduled everything in Theater 1 for the week.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: The Sonic private screening in Theater 1 this morning went well.

Cleared all remaining equipment from Shouting at the Screen from Theater 2 and returned the turntables to 3/7.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for On the Count of Three and Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. Placed them both in the caddy.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received DCPs of Batman and Doctor Strange. Ingested Batman to Theater 3 and Doctor Strange to the TMS.

Also received a DCP of Sin City, but this has been moved to Williamsburg. I let John know to coordinate getting the drive over to them.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Checked the Addams Family Values playlist for the weekend. It’s good to go.

Began inspecting the print of The Mask. It’s in excellent shape.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, updated delivery info for the Born to Win print, it’s now coming Monday the 2nd.

Maintenance/cleaning: Chris from DMS was working on the TMS and IMS servers remotely for most of the day. He managed to resolve the scheduling issues with Theater 1, both the wrong names appearing on the TMS schedule and the IMS erasing all schedules and logs every time it restarts. He also upgraded the firmware for all IMS servers, except 3 and 7 as the server needs to be rebooted for the update to complete and they were already open for screenings. They will complete the upgrade automatically next time they restart, which will be 9am tomorrow morning. Won’t affect any shows tonight or tomorrow.

Organized the poster caddy, got rid of extra Fantastic Beasts posters and reordered everything else by release date.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Took down The Batman and The Lost City and moved the remaining titles around to make space for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

Projection cart by entrance?:
