NPP Projection Report 8/13 Open


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Fluorescent lights are working again in Theater 2. The breaker for them had merely been turned off at some point.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested all new preshow and trailer content for next week's trailer lists from Google Drive.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Crooklyn screening went very well, very nice print which looked great. Cleaned projectors before/after the show.

DJ afterparty went smoothly as well, and was still going as I left.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Printed and attached shipping labels for Fire Walk With Me. Scheduled a FedEx pickup for Monday.

Print/video Inspection: Reinspected and packed up Crooklyn.

Began inspecting No Way Out, looks to be in pretty good shape. First reel was a little dusty, with a bit of scratches on the base side, though I doubt they’ll affect the picture on screen greatly.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added a new tracking number for the Men in Black drive which Deluxe has sent with express shipping, as the delivery of the first one was delayed until Tuesday, the day of the screening. This new one is coming on Monday.

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in credit times for Days of Thunder.

Marquee updated?:

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

Projection cart by entrance?: Cart is in 3/7 with Crooklyn, Jungle Fever, and Fire Walk With Me prints for return on Monday. Never heard back from DHL about the first two, but hopefully they can come on Monday.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a show playlist for Interstellar (all this needs is a volume cue which can be added once the film is tech'd) Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Taking Off screening in theater 1 went really well Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Jawbreaker keys were downloaded and ingested Downloaded and ingested the "Antonias Line" trailer for the Boxcar Bertha pre-show Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected Taking Off after the screening and placed all reels back on their shipping reels/in their canisters (also reached out the necessary parties at DHL and NBC/Universal to schedule a pickup) Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated information for a few titles this upcoming week Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Marquee updated?: Removed Taking Off and added letters for  Boxcar Bertha  to the 3
