NPP Projection Report 8/16 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: I didn't get to start work on the cue sheets/schedule until later in the evening since I was finishing up inspections in 1 and had to break down the trivia setup at Trees but I did manage to schedule content on Friday the 19th (sans Dragon Ball: Superhero); noticed some overlap and close starts between shows here

Presentation Issues: Men in Black show playlist needed a bit of a volume boost (I was in the auditorium as the feature began and adjusted the volume accordingly)

Special Events/ AV set up: Trivia at Trees Lounge was packed tonight and the Men in Black screening in theater 3 went smoothly

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Additional Don't Worry Darling posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Point Break print was delivered and brought up to theater 1

Print/video Inspection: Finished re-inspecting Days of Thunder and packaged it for return shipping (the return labels were provided and have been placed on the canisters); this print is by the bottom of the steps in booth 1

Finished inspecting Point Break; overall it is in good condition, however, the base side of the film is pretty heavily scratched across all reels, though, this shouldn't detract from what is otherwise a fine looking print

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
