To do this evening/ was completed: Downloaded and ingested new KDMs for BarbarianSee How They Run, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Presentation Issues: Regarding the issue I noticed with the presentation of Moonage Daydream in theater 2 the other night, the "1.85:1" contained segments of the film are all slightly pillarboxed (the most recent archival footage in it looks like it's actually 1.78:1 and not 1.85:1, while the rest of the footage used is a mix of much flatter/square aspect ratios from music videos and television programs) and the keystoning effect in this room caused it to look like it was favoring one side of the screen over the other; I checked on the film as it was playing in theater 1 this afternoon and noticed the pillarboxing again, though, there was an even amount of it on both sides of the screen which led me to believe the angle of the projector in 2 is creating this distortion

Update: I took a look at Moonage Daydream in theater 7 after the last round ended and adjusted the masking to 1.78:1; this appears to me to be the appropriate masking for this film, despite its 1.85:1 container listing, as I did not see a single shot that opens up to the 1.85:1 width as I skimmed through the film (the most recent footage of Bowie used in it fits this masking as does the Neon company logo that starts the picture)

The 7:15PM screening of Don't Worry Darling in theater 2 did not start as scheduled and needed to be played manually (after I unpaused the show playlist I forwarded it roughly 5 minutes to compensate for the delay in the start time)

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Finished building the Bros show playlist after downloading and ingesting the new generic pre-show Kat uploaded to the shared drive for this feature

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Thirst screening in theater 1 went smoothly as did the staff screening of The Craft at Trees Lounge (the blu-ray disc/case and XLR cables were returned to 4/6 and the blu-ray player and its power cord were left on the makeup table in booth 1)

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Lillian took a look at the first reel of In the Mouth of Madness this afternoon and I finished inspecting the final 4 reels this evening; the print is in good condition overall sans some minor scratching on the sides of the film and a light layer of residue throughout that shouldn't be a hindrance to its presentation

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes (technical and credit offset information for Bros and In the Mouth of Madness was updated)

Maintenance/cleaning: I managed to replace the plastic seat edge(?) covering that had fallen off the one chair in theater 5 but the phillips-head screw I used to fasten it was about a quarter of an inch too long for the hole that had been drilled into the metal fixture, however, this part is secure and will require some forcefulness to remove it again

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?:

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by entrance?: Yes

Additional Notes: Trees Lounge called up and asked me to adjust the televisions above the bar as the picture had gone fuzzy and turned a shade of blue. I figured it was due to the video inputs loosening in the HDMI adapter (a problem I had had with this setup in the past and was able to easily fix) but soon found that the power cable connected to the HDMI adapter (a USB-A to Mini-B 5 pin cable, or what you might charge an old Android device with) was barely hanging on to it and broke apart as I tried to reconnect it to the device. I looked for a spare cable with these connections in the DJ/Bar bin in 4/6 but could not find any extras that would work and told the MODs the televisions would be out of service for the night. We will likely have to purchase a new cable from Target or Amazon (I did a quickGoogle search and it seems like the Mini-B 5 pin lines come in packs with other adaptable USB connectors attached). I left the cable on the desk in 4/6 for reference
