Projection Admin (Lillian) Done with NewFest! Recap...

To do/ was completed: Wow...what a time we've had! A lot has happened and I'm so proud of us for pulling through. NewFest ended today. Well done, everyone. I'm really happy about how today went, and I'm excited to get back into the swing of our usual happenings. I was in early to finish setups for Trees Lounge, T3, T1, and T2. All NewFest shows went really well. I have a couple of updates below! Thank you, Jack, for being a huge help today.

Please, everyone, continue to check the blog to see what needs to be done so we can stay ahead of things!

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: As per Matthew's email, we've swapped out Till with Decision to Leave in T2 for this upcoming Monday. I scheduled it in T2, but please keep an eye on these as you might have to play them manually. I am almost certain the TMS might not automate them since it typically doesn't recognize anything that has less than two minutes between shows. The same will go for the 7pm showing of Decision to Leave in T3, that same Monday, which has NOT been scheduled on the TMS yet, because it starts the same time the previous screening ends. You will have to start it manually.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up all the mics in Trees, got the chairs/mics/wireless all set for the theaters. Made sure the Yamaha was in T3. Mics were tested. Spotify playlists for preshow were all brought up, despite having to work around some band-with issues. Took everything down after the Q&A's in all theaters! Whew.

Jack set up the DJ earlier and I took it down. I recoiled all the cables from today. Wireless mics are charging.

Took a seat out of T2 & T6 today for ADA access. Will is on it to put them back after the screenings.

The curser pad in T1 and T2 (rack laptops) are perfect nightmares right now-- very difficult to move the curser, so we had to improvise. Splashtop can help, but I'll be powercycling the server tomorrow. I put a mouse in T1 and it's working fine, but that needs to be powercycled, too.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection:  Prey for the staff screening. on10/26 is fully in T1 and can be checked tomorrow. I made the DCP in it's native format, Scope, but this should be double checked since although DCP-o-matic tends to immediately format most things to flat, it might be a reformatted file to begin with.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: As Jack mentioned in his blog from the other night, we have a critical bulb error on the Christie panel in T6. I got a new bulb out and will change it tomorrow. Those messages are soft warnings. You should never be too afraid of them, and sometimes a bulb does not have to be changed, and it's just incompatibility (bulb/projector incompatibility used to make one projector I had work overtime...scary, we didn't know the wrong bulb had been put in there.) That being said, it's time for this one to go. I might run a few tests, but I'll get our new one in tomorrow morning (take a break before coming back) and then follow up with the diagnostics before the screenings. We have a face shield now!!

The APC (power source) for T6 has been beeping--part of it's battery life is dying--but they also beep to test themselves. it's not fun...I'm going to look for a backup in the booth tomorrow.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: We can take the NewFest letters down tomorrow!

Posters updated?:
