Projection Admin (Lillian) 11/ 16 - Keep an eye out for your name in this blog!

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey, team! Had our weekly cinema meeting via Google Meet. Went through various aspects of tech to make sure we've got what we need for the end of this week (including but not limited to special events, content, equipment inventory, and so forth...), 11/18 - 11/24 needs, upcoming events, etc. We do have loads of special events happing this month, most notably between 11/21 - 11/23 and 11/26 - 11/30. Projectionists; Alec and I will continue to keep you updated on these events as we learn more about them, and I'll be reaching out to Chenelle for more information so we can prep/plan ahead. Keep an eye out for memos you're tagged in and check in, daily, with the event calendar. Always reach out with any questions, comments or concerns.

One thing: Joe mentioned today that there's an issue with the basement readers on some of the projectors at Williamsburg. We spoke a bit about optical sound distortion and I forgot that the penthouse readers I was referring to in our conversation are only specific to Prospect as McKegg mentioned to me this evening. Simplexes don't have those, or at least, it's super rare... Similar damage to troubleshoot for sure though, so we'll take a look at that soon. Basement readers where the sound drum is can get pretty dirty since everything is boxed in, and if it was just one reel that was sounding strange, it could've been debris, OR powercycle the processor (this has fixed issues in the past, and also why we give the machines ample time to warm up after turning everything on so that there's time for them to make their connections). This might also be an alignment issue, a fading reader, or actual damage in the actual soundtrack. Many things to troubleshoot. I will reach out to Boston Light & Sound for test film (loops).

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated the Liam Gallagher playlist since it did not have the proper masking adjustment. I notified Gil/Paul on the cue sheet that there is virtually no credits sequence and abruptly ends.

I finished the playlist for The Menu, got credits offset, added light cues, volume.

I adjusted both the dubbed and subbed playlists for Porco Rosso with the house lights up cues/credits offset and made sure that the dubbing/subbing was correct in their respective files. Volume has also been added.

Ingested How to Blow Up a Pipeline into T3. I reached out to Deluxe since--from what I could see via the portal--the KDM for How to Blow Up a Pipeline was ostensibly active, but not available. They got back to us and the KDM will be live shortly. McKegg will ingest.

The KDMs for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and The Fablemans are still on a pending status.

All three versions (5.1 CCAP, 7.1 CCAP, and 5.1 OCAP) of The Fablemans ingested completely and I deleted the 5.1 CCAP version. I transferred it from screen 1 to 2, then 1 to 3 and 2 to 4.

I downloaded the Santa Doesn't Need Your Help short (which precedes Elf ) and ingested it to TMS. Cristina has asked that we tech this with her on Tuesday, 11/22 at 11:30am. Jack, you will be on admin that day. I've put the tech date on our comp calendar, but will nudge you closer to the date.

Desmond sent the slide for The Wiz, which I made a DCP of and ingested to TMS.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Will, in my last blog I noted the setup for tomorrow's Trees event, which is the Afterparty for Liam Gallagher. We will go over this when you get in tomorrow, but it should be just fine. You will be done with setup well before the other event that day, Lens3 in T2 is--as perviously mentioned--very simple. There's an intro with spots/ 2 mics, which can be wireless. No Q&A. Also, for T3 Liam Gallagher, just grab the yamaha as per usual and hook up 1 mic. You can see this on the event memo I've tagged you in. Normal protocol- there's a server pause cue on the slide and all you gotta do is advance.

We will be doing karaoke again on 11/23 and are in active conversation with our lovely Bar and MOD colleagues to find a good day to tech for this. I'll keep y'all updated.
