NPP Projection Report 12/26 Admin + Close

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Had to manually start the second round in theater 7 (Puss in Boots: The Last Wish at 4:05PM) since the system failed to automate the next playlist due to a very short turnover between shows

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled a pre-show for Phantom Thread on 1/4 (a volume level cue will need to be added once the film is teched; film is 1.85:1 so the masking can stay as is)

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We still have not received any Babylon posters (the request tab on iMoxie is currently blank despite the order being placed there last week); hopefully some arrive in the next few days

Ordering/Receiving (content): Downloaded and ingested new keys for Avatar: The Way of Water; The Warriors DCP is currently in transit and should arrive by tomorrow according to Deluxe

Outgoing/Shipping (content): We received two canisters from the AFA containing Velvet Goldmine which were intended for NWB so I emailed Joe to figure out a means of getting them sent back that way (the film screens on the 5th at NWB) -- update: Chris reached out and will take them via Uber to NWB tomorrow before his shift

Print/video Inspection:

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Built cue sheets and scheduled all show playlists on the TMS for the week of 12/30 (missing content and first run titles notwithstanding)

Marquee updated?: Pinocchio has been taken down; added letters for The Warriors

Posters updated?: Pinocchio has been taken down and replaced with A Man Named Otto under a "coming soon" snipe; a one sheet for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was placed in the lobby by the stairwell to Trees Lounge

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
