NPP Projection Report Sat. 12/23

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Regarding lamps not turning off automatically last night, this was because Babylon, The Whale, and The Menu playlists were running 2-3 minutes longer than what was on the TMS schedule, probably because something like a trailer was added to the playlists after they were already scheduled. This not only resulted in the Shutdown in Theater 2 not loading, but it didn't load in 3 or 5 either, and lamps were on in both when I got in this morning. If you add any content to a playlist after it's already been scheduled, the TMS will not automatically reflect this extra time in the scheduling tab, you have to click on the scheduled show, check "Change show playlist," then click "Save" for the end time to update. This is obviously really important for scheduling the shutdown (lamps absolutely have to be shut off each night), but also the cues. Added the extra minutes to the cue sheets for the rest of the week.

Fire alarm went off in the lobby shortly after 5pm. It was a false alarm, though strangely Theaters 1, 2, and 6 did not pause. Lights stayed down, projector lamp stayed on, etc. The fire alarm lights were flashing in these theaters, though. Nathaniel told me to just leave them going. Kicked movies back 3 minutes in 3, 4, 5, and 7 before restarting them.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up the new mic mixer in Theater 3. I put it on top of the speaker under the curtain, toward the center of the screen. It's connected to the XLR wall panel and connected to power, with an XLR cable connected to each of the 4 inputs. Each cable is labeled with its input number on the female end. Tested all the inputs and they are working well, marked good levels for each input and the master with the CP750 set to 7.0. Pic below:

Maintenance/cleaning: Got a call from lobby bar that something was beeping in the booth, thought it must be the APC and sure enough, there is a warning on the unit in there that its battery is near the end of its life. We already asked DMS to order us more, since the units for Ths. 4 and 5 also need to be replaced soon. I sent a follow up email to them asking to increase the quantity of our order to 3.

Labeled all the breakers in Theater 1 booth, and also reattached the cover/door. The one legible printed directory for this box was not accurate, and neither were the handwritten labels on the door/cover of the box, the one with almost everything crossed out and written over was the correct one.

I tried getting the hex screws out on projector 2 in Theater 1 to be able to take off/replace the belt and it still would not budge, even with the drill bits I got and WD-40. Will keep at it.

Replaced a ceiling bulb in Th3.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in timing for Lyle private screening on Monday. Volume for the blu-ray still needs to be checked.
