Projection Admin 12/14



To do this evening/ was completed: Hey guys! For tomorrow's meeting, make sure to bring any notes, questions, comments or concerns you've got for us. 

Presentation Issues: Spoke to Jerry at DMS who contacted Greg and Chris to see if they could remotely tap into our server today to check in on our storage issues. Alec and I peaked around to scope out the strange cue issues that T2 and (more specifically) T6 tend to have, i.e. not automating shows. The GP-1 cue is described as a 'pause' in the Macro Editor on the rack laptop. It's described as such in all theatres, but seems to only have issues automating in specific theatres. I'm curious as to whether or not something in the respective IMS servers has something to do with this, but, nevertheless, we're doing research.

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops on both projectors in T1. These should get spruced up before the show this evening. (Batman Returns). Ran buzz tracks on the penthouses and basement readers in T4.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I notified Brian that Jackie Brown was to be delivered today, gave him the tracking info. 

Print/video Inspection: I inspected a load of trailers and built out the first trailer reel. Info has been added to the 35mm trailer inventory list. I'll finish this up tomorrow.

Marquee updated?: Will is putting up Avatar and Pinocchio, taking down Fablemans. We'll put up Puss in Boots and The Whale next week, and take down Strange World/ Violent Night.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
