Projection Open 12/19



To do this evening/ was completed: Hey everyone! The holiday season is pretty much in full force now. I'm excited for us to head into the New Year with fresh eyes, more knowledge, and a better work flow after all the work we've done this season. We got the application from Cristina for the Harvard Film Archive!

There's a lot of info below. Please read carefully. I have scheduled a Staff Screening of The Whale in T3 tomorrow with 15min of preshow and a 10:30 start time. You should have plenty of time to check volume. JUST adding to this by saying that the staff screenings of The Whale will be tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: For tomorrow! ~ I was unable to check volume for Puss in Boots and The Whale today since the KDMs will not be active until 1am tomorrow. Admin, please check volume for both of these. 

Downloaded the Cats Preshows (5min, 15min, 25min). These have now been ingested to the TMS and be added to the Puss in Boots playlist. 

Downloaded and ingested the 5min preshow portion for The Whale. A playlist needs to be built for this. Please schedule on the TMS once it is built. 

I added the credits offset info for Puss in Boots to the cue sheets. The same will need to be done for The Whale. Please tag Paul or Gil in the cue sheet to let them know the offset has been added. I let them know we'll be providing this info, so they're on standby.

Trailer Updates: 

Special Events/ AV set up:  Our SE screening of Black Panther 2 in T5 tomorrow has been rescheduled. I've taken this off the TMS schedule and per Chenelle's request, I've put tomorrow's SE screening of Avatar in T5. It is currently ingesting to T5 and should hopefully be done by tonight. The playlist has all the correct preshow requirements. 

A playlist for our staff screening of The Whale can get built and scheduled for T4, since we have SE screenings in our normal staff screener rooms. 

Gave a listening device out in T3 for Pinocchio.  Please pick up after 6:10pm. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Today we received Train to Busan and Menace II Society. Train to Busan is ingesting in T2. Will knows to pick it up tonight once it's done. We don't have the kdm yet. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: I ran multiple trailers both Scope and Flat for Cristina, Desmond and John today. We'll continue checking the condition and presentation of each trailer through the New Year. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: yes!

Marquee updated?: Will is putting The Whale this evening. Violent Night leaves the 21st, when Puss in Boots begins, so we'll wait another day to put that up.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
