NPP Projection Report Wed. 2/22 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Note on ingesting supplement (VF) packages (OCAP & 7.1 versions of DCPs): in order to ingest these properly it has to be done on a server where the original version (OV, usually the 5.1 CCAP version) is present, otherwise the VF supplement DCP will not attach to the OV, and you will have an incomplete DCP which won't play. Once you have the complete VF on a server, it can be transferred anywhere without the OV being present on the server you transfer it to.

I did have some trouble ingesting the OCAP EEAAO though, for some reason it kept failing when I tried ingesting it to the TMS. It didn't fail last night, it was just incomplete because the OV wasn't ingested to the TMS. Ended up ingesting it directly to Theater 1 and transferring the complete OCAP VF to Theater 6, where it is playing on Monday. Made the OCAP playlist and scheduled it. Also made new Close playlists for next week and scheduled those.

Sharlene's Problem DCP conversion successfully completed, ingested this and the new Sinking Sun DCP to Theater 1

Ripping the Persepolis blu-ray again since the subtitles got lost in the HandBrake conversion and I deleted the original rip without thinking about this.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated the Johnny Guitar playlist to add the intro slide and 5 min Classic Pictures preshow.

Lowered the volume for Close to 4.5. It was quite loud at 5.5 and we got a complaint about it last night.

We should receive NSF '23 preshow and the Rabbit Hole trailer on Friday. Creed III will probably get a generic preshow in the end, so we'll build the playlists when Kat confirms the content.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set-up the mixer/mics and audio cables for Karaoke tonight. Everything is in the corner by the XLR wall patch panels, the HDMI to USB-C adapter is connected to the HDMI cable.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Dad & Step-Dad to Theater 2.

Downloaded the new Rest Stop DCP (from NSF Matinee 2 program), ingested it to Theater 1.

We're getting a new file for Bowling 4 Eva, should have it tomorrow morning. Held off on making that DCP.

Creed III came through on the Deluxe server, ingested it to the TMS and added info to the asset tracker.

Looks like there was a booking mix-up and Sony sent us a 35mm print of Attack the Block instead of a DCP. John is seeing if they can send us a DCP for our show next week.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
