NPP Projection Admin 6/27 Jack/Alec



To do this evening/ was completed: Collin from DMS was here when I got in this morning. He left before he was able to get in touch with a colleague, who then later remotely accessed the desktop to do some reprogramming of the Show Vault server in T6. I tested some content in the theater after DMS finished--all good.

Continued to build the cue sheets. Initially I didn't schedule any Indiana Jones show on the scheduler because we are still missing the Generic_HarrisonFord_15min content but eventually I decided to build the playlist with a placeholder (Generic_Summer) so I could see when each show would conclude and build the cue sheets with that info. This is to say that the playlist will have to be updated when we get the right content.

**Some OCAP screenings still need to be added in on the TMS scheduler. Most are there but please double check.   

Nashville locally ingested to T2, Wolf of Wall Street ingested to T1. Jaws playlist built.

Jerry and Collin from DMS and our electrician Vlad we’re here this morning. Vlad found an issue with both the outlets in 1&2 which he fixed, although the faint flickering is still there. Jerry has some ideas about it and will be sending a full report tonight, they should be back very soon to continue working on it. -AL

Jerry put our upgraded Th1 drives in the server, and replaced SATA backplane. This was the server that we had issues with our upgraded drives with which was in Theater 6, but got moved to Theater 1 on Friday. This issue is resolved. -AL

Special Events/ AV set up: Did some more platter training with Jack and McKegg. Jack threaded it twice and McKegg did it once, ran the film through the projector twice. -AL

Put the arms on the platter tree for T4. We still need the bottom roller from the tree, I forgot I took it off when I was breaking this down over there. I’ll bring it. I’ll need to figure out how to use our MUT with this platter, but the platter itself will be ready to go once I bring that roller. -AL

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
