NPP Projection Close 6/20



To do this evening/ was completed: Now and Then DCP should have fully converted by tomorrow morning. 

Presentation Issues: Got a buzz that the volume for The Little Mermaid in Theater 7 was too loud, so I dropped it down a little bit. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made a playlist for the CCAP and OCAP Past Lives for next week, including making a new trailer pack. 

I was building an Alien From LA playlist as well and I noticed that the trailer list calls for a slide, but I couldn't find an Alien From LA slide sent to us to convert. I sent an email to Cristina to double check. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Trivia went off without a hitch! Shay and I were even able to get a full video AND audio connection entirely through the HDMI. 

Alec had started a mov conversion through Handbrake of Now and Then which I put through DCP-o-Matic and left it converting overnight. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): 

Ordering/Receiving (content): New keys for The Little Mermaid and Past Lives uploaded

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I dropped off Mommie Dearest and some other DCPs over to UPS 

Print/video Inspection: Alec gave me my first walkthrough of plattering. It's a lot to take in, but it's not as complicated as I was afraid it was. Looking forward to more practice! 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: 

Maintenance/cleaning: 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I filled out the rest of the cue sheets and scheduled the automation

I also cross referenced tomorrow's automation with the cue sheets. I noticed there hadn't been a shutdown scheduled in Theater 6 and the middle round of the new Elemental scheduled in Theater 4, but both have been added 

Marquee updated?: 

Posters updated?: I took down Guardians 3 outside and put The Flash up

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
