NPP Projection 8/28 Admin Jack/Alec



To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled the week in TMS and filled in all days of the cue sheets.

New preshow content (Class of 08 trailer and Action preshow for Oldboy) ingested and added to the listed playlists/packs.

Kung Fu Panda ingested to T2.

Tech'd Speed Racer with Desmond, during which two odd things occurred: first the image was showing an even shadow on top and bottom, basically a shadow letterbox. Right after I noticed that the projector (P2) was smoking near the lamphouse/dowser--killed the motor and lamp immediately and opened the port glass window. Switched over to the other projector to finish the tech, and then tried to replicate the issues on P2 afterward with Alec and both the letterbox and smoke had dissipated. So not sure what happened really. We should run a scope reel tomorrow during admin to see if the plate really needs filing.

Changed the battery in T6 IMB - Alec (Jack observed)

Ordered ethernet cables for the USB extender, will use this in T5 for the Captiview transmitter - Alec

Started converting the files for the Industrial Musicals screening 9/19. The second file in the program is converting now - Alec

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
