Projection Admin 8/25



To do this evening/ was completed: John and I had a Zoom meeting with the folks for 32 Sounds, which screens in about a month. Philip, the point of contact for tech will be here in advance on the day of to setup in the booth (this will be very easy), but we're planning on having him in a few days prior to the event so he can scope things out again and perform some tests. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist:  I adjusted the Back to the Future playlist(s) so that the trailers have the right volume. 

Started downloading the new content for 9/1 to the DCPII drive...forecasts, trailers, etc. Please continue! 

Adjusted volume for Love on the Run preshow in the playlists that need it. 

Tech'd Bonnie n Clyde.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received Rosemary's Baby and The Dark Knight today. I brought both to T1. I was having a hard time moving Rosemary's Baby (back issues strike again). It's at the top of the stairs in the booth. If someone could bring it down, I would greatly appreciate it. 

Ingested both CCAP and OCAP for Bottoms. 

Got the keys for In the Line of Fire. Ingested! They open on Sunday. We'll tech on Monday. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Put The Island on house reels. 

Tech'd Wild at Heart with Desmond as well as the Little Princess and Back to the Future Musical trailer. 

Tech'd The Island with Cristina. 

Started inspecting The Dark Knight. I am so excited to see this on screen after so many yeaaaarrss! I'll finish this tomorrow. Already took TONS of photos...

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
