Projection Close 8/20



To do this evening/ was completed: Just want to make note of it so that there's no confusion--Alec informed me the other day that we'd be shipping out Oppenheimer on Monday instead of the Walgreens situation, so I already scheduled a pickup. We're all set, but please bring down the print Sunday night and leave it by the black projection cart. It should be getting picked up between 8am and 6pm. I'll check Monday morning to make sure it's gone. Ask MOD for a hand if you need one! 

Other than that...nothing major to report on! A rare, quiet evening. Some maintenance notes below as I changed a lamp tonight. Cleaned around the booth.

Maintenance/cleaning: I wasn't surprised by this since I've had notifications on my phone for awhile now, warning me that the lamp in T5 would expire right around this time. Checked all the houses and saw that T5 was giving me that warning and that it was time to change the lamp, so it is changed! Oppenheimer ended at 10:30, so that I had plenty of time. Despite the crawl space, I came prepared this time with a blanket (game changer for some support n comfort whilst working in super tight, tricky conditions. Stayed for the whole light change wizard initiatives to make sure everything's healthy. 

T3 is behaving. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked the cue sheets against the TMS this week. Looking good.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
