Projection Admin 9/20 Alec & Lillian


To do this evening/ was completed: Hey everyone, the holidays are already coming up around the corner, so I've sent out a form to get everyone's preferences for holidays off. The form asks you to rank Thanksgiving day, Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Years Eve, and New Years day from 1-5 in the order in which you would prefer to have off (1 is what you'd most like off, 5 the least). Please fill it out as soon as you can, thanks! -AL

When she was teching Benjamin Button Lillian told me the picture was extremely jittery, which confused me because I'd just worked on P1 and ran a loop and it looked fine. She was using P2, though, and I must not have retightened the turret on this one perfectly yesterday when I was working on these projectors. I resat it properly and the picture looked good after that. -AL

A heads up that Lillian reminded me of today: LSC is coming up at the beginning of next month! Lillian and I will pull out the mixer and flesh out this section of the manual on Friday, I'll also be working a "mid" shift the day of the event so I'll do the sound check with Jack and be there for the show. -AL

Continuing NewFest downloads! Today I ingested Dismantle Me, which Alec started downloading yesterday. Along with Dismantle Me, I am started downloading Something You Said Last Night via Aspera (this is finishing to the DCPII drive in 4/6. Please ingest when it's done! In T1, I downloaded and extracted 3 shorts: Girl Blunt, Dealing, and Baba Yaga. All three of these are currently copying over to the DCPIII drive in T1. Please ingested when done. They will be done shortly. Thanks!

Special Events/ AV set up: Tech'd the feature Death Becomes Her for this evening and double checked all other assets/spots and washes. Adjusted volume, built the rest of the playlist out. Alec printed out the run of show which has the spots/wash info. They'll need one wireless mic.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
