NPP Projection Close 11/16

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Plex troubleshooting continues...there was playback at Trees Lounge for a very brief period until the network disconnected around 6:30/7PM...tried reconnecting to it via the desktop in 4/6 but only received "playback error" messages whenever an attempt was made to refresh or play media 

(Update: made one last attempt to reconnect to the server to no avail before turning off the projector and bringing the screen up after Ariel began his DJ set -- Update #2: went back down to Trees around 830PM and the picture was back up on the TVs above the bar...not sure what is causing the server to connect and disconnect)

Special Events/ AV set up: DJ set at Trees Lounge went smoothly and all gear was broken down and stored beneath the mezzanine stairs

Lola intro and screening in theater 4 this evening went well, however, there was some confusion at the very end of the it since the final reel ran out a few minutes ahead of schedule -- the intro was short -- and not all guests had received their checks; kept the lights down for a couple minutes so everyone could settle before leaving and before bringing them up to the cleaning level but the crowd was still seated...seemed to be a minor communication/timing issue but aside from this the print looked great and played beautifully

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Inside Out 2 and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and stored them behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Lola print was re-inspected and packaged for return shipping; labels can be printed tomorrow

Removed Five Nights at Freddy's feature content from the TMS following its final show this evening

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
