Projection Admin 11/15 Lil & Jack



To do this evening/ was completed: Sent an email out about this already, but just so it's here: please remember to turn off the projectors when you're done with them/if you see that they're still on when they're not supposed to be. Those power sources are 24k gold to us. What's highlighted below is pertinent info for this evening.

Kat is bringing over the drive for Volcano tonight as she's attending film feast. - Please ingest asap. We're looking at this Friday! 

Presentation Issues: Plex issues this evening. Tried many adjustments and reboots for the past two and a half hours. We're keeping the projector off this evening. WB having issues too. Our network has been fickle today. Working with customer service on this. We'll discuss more at our meeting tomorrow. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Staff screenings scheduled and blocked on the calendar. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Double checked the Divinity and Big Night playlists for this evening. Checked in on the mics in T3 - all set for this evening. 

Shrek DCP failed upon ingest last night. I tried copying it over to the DCPII drive today, but that failed during ingest, too. I'm re-downloading this to the DCPII drive again just to be sure, but we'll get the BluRay just in case. PLEASE INGEST this as soon as it's done downloading, and please email me asap detailing whether or not it's ingesting properly! It should be done in an hour or so. 4/6 comp. 

Inspected all of Lethal Weapon. The print is in very good condition, with one minor anomaly: a splice of film in reel one that has no soundtrack. This piece lasts approximately 2-3 min. We can run it soon and confirm if it's a legitimate issue. - JC inspected this, I'll check in on this tomorrow - LH

Ordering/Receiving (content): Raising Cain set to arrive this Friday. Flagged Chicken Run as it was request as DCP instead of 35mm. We actually have two DCPs of this in house right now, one ocap and one ccap, without keys. Update: apparently the distro does not have a print of this after all :( 

Reached out to Deluxe about the Trolls KDM. Uploaded keys for Priscilla, Anatomy of a Fall, Taylor, Holdovers, Street Car, KOTFM. Update: Trolls keys are in! Woohoo! These have been ingested. 

Dream Scenario and Tyrone keys uploaded. Tyrone not active until Friday.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated this today to reflect what we've got in house, what's been ingested, and any new tracking. 

Maintenance/cleaning: Alec came in this morning to do some maintenance in T4. I'll run the alignments to make sure P2 is adjusted tomorrow. Cristina knows!

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes! Checked today thoroughly, checked the cue sheets for next week. 

Marquee updated?: All good on brunch/35mm titles (Lola tomorrow, we'll adjust with a new title after!) Dream Scenario and Trolls tomorrow.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
